Great service, always super helpful and informative. Highly recommend for all your computer needs. Staff have been more then helpful both over the phone and in store. We brought our laptop in for a battery issue, and they were more than happy to assist in helping find the issue, and suggest what could/need to be done. Was in for repairs in a timely manner. Recently our laptop had another issue, and once again we went into see about what could be causing it. And were met with great advice and solutions on what the issue is. It will be are only computer repair shop from here on out.
We had an issue with our Mac not working great with some of our software programs. After being given misleading info we took it to Mikes. They fixed at a fraction of the cost, sold us ONLY what we needed and had back next day!!! Totally 100% confident with Mikes. It’s a great feeling to trust a company like that! Had a small issue with my laptop today. Brought it in and ask for advice. In less then 10 minutes it was all sorted out. Can’t rate these guys high enough for their amazing service, trustworthy, knowledge and for being honest good people. 5 stars Highly recommend
Pretty good regular pricing. Door crashers are even better during major sales. Staff was great when we were trying to diagnose why my new build was crashing constantly. They helped me test out the parts I didn't have the ability to test at home and even let me stay in their tech area for about 20 minutes so that I could use my PC and confirm that we had fixed the issue. Would buy here again
Employees are awesome, Anthony happily assisted me when I rushed in right at the end of the day needing a new laptop. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Price was excellent for the laptop I bought, will definitely recommend others to go to Mike's!
Had the opportunity to deal with 2 reps from Mike's today. Was trying to decide on a new laptop & got totally lost in all the details. While researching online I found the link to Mike's & chatted with Alex who asked all the appropriate questions & listened to all I had to say about needs/preferences. He helped me with comparisons that allowed me to make a choice I think I'll be happy about. I was also very happy with the price. After placing the order, I needed more information about its status and chatted with Jamie who answered my question promptly and thoroughly. I've had a fair bit of experience with computer distributors & repair people: in the last 2 years, I've purchased 3 laptops & 2 tablets as gifts none from Mike's and had to have one of the tablets overhauled. My purchasing experience was either pushy or indifferent. The repair experience was a service nightmare. I'm happy to say I have a pretty good feeling about Mike's. Let's hope I'm right. I'll keep you posted.
My order arrived quickly though I wouldn't have known that since Mike's Computer Shop staff didn't provide me with any tracking information. I received no e-mail, no phone call , no note in my web account to even let me know what shipping services they used. Good thing I contacted them to find out the package was sitting in the Purolator depot for 2 days. The rep who assisted me in their online chat was helpful and courteous - so a huge plus for that. I will shop there again if needed, but would appreciate they get on with client communication especially regarding shipping what courier and what time, a tracking number would be useful as well.
Great store, highly recommend it for your gear needs. I am in Calgary and prefer Mike's over local vendors free shipping over $40. Ordering was easy on their website and the invoice was 100% accurate. Received my computer 2 days later. Look forward to visiting the retail locations during a vacation to the lower mainland.
I have not yet been in store, however I have recently ordered a part from them through Amazon. Amazingly fast with the delivery and even a follow up email ensuring I got my package as well as supplying solutions with any problems that may occur during transit or with tracking information. Looking to order another part in the near future and cant wait for another speedy delivery. Also cannot wait for the COVID-19 situation to clear up so I may check out the selection in store someday too.
I had problems with my shipping address, since it is not the same as my billing address for my credit card. Morgan P explained the policy calmly to me even though the policy is extremely annoying. Since I don't want to give out all of my personal information to my credit card company, we determined my only other option is store pickup. Then he assisted me with getting the best video card for my current needs and my current computer. His knowledge in this area was very good and his passion showed through, so it ended on a good note.
Lots of guys in here working on a what seemed like quiet weekday so that tells me they must be doing good business. Guy jumped up from his desk right away to help, very friendly and knowledgable. Answered all my questions easily. They have a lot of stock and high end stuff as well which was nice to see since I typically order online but needed my item that day. Everything works great and their prices are comparable to what you might find on Newegg, Amazon, etc. Highly recommend!
