what's with the receptionists - we are just trying to book an appointment for our ill children, are not asking you for donation. the attitude and the aloofness is really unnecessary in my opinion. these are parents taking their time off from work to inquire or find help for their children. have a heart. doctors are great. lovely people.
Earlier today, I went in with my two really ill boys in hopes to see a doctor who could help them and help me figure out what’s wrong. The receptionist Rita turned my day the worst with her rude attitude and no regards to a parent who was in desperate need of her children to be seen by a doctor. This was not the first incident with her and I have let go of her rude attitude time and time again, whether it’s over the phone or in person, she’s just a plain rude person. Today was the limit to my patience. Dr. Tamar Flanders is one of the best doctors out there and she’s the only reason why I stayed and dealt with her rude attitude but I don’t know if it’s worth it anymore. Rita has made a desperate mother sob infront of her children because she made her feel helpless and defeated. I will never forget this day.
Until now the doctors are very good, but the receptionist Madeline Brevetti and Rita Broni and the nurse Dinna Leonido are super rude, arrogant, very unprofessional. also one of the receptionist Rita Broni kicked out because my daughter is sick, but my daughter was with the facemask
Our Dr is fantastic here and one of the nurses is the most caring and sweetest nurses I’ve come across. I would give a full 5 stars but the receptionists are so unbelievably rude.
I got a referral for my son to see Dr. Joseph from beginning of June. I called a few times, the secretary is a complete rude disgusting person. Very unhelpful and does not want to provide information. Gives attitude. I asked when an appointment would be set up she told me they were booking from April still. I call today and now she tells me it will probably be next year as Dr. JOSEPH is only there 2 times a month. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! Getting a new referral this place is a complete waste of time and the secretary is so miserable with her life. Horrible place stay away!!!!! I will be sure to tell all my family and friends to not go here. I didn't even get an appointment but just the tone in getting information and setting up an appointment felt extremely uncomfortable. Everyone goes through struggles and it's makes matters worse when your trying to find care for your child you feel dismissed, spoken to rudely and disrespected. Why does this secretary still have a job??? If I spoke to anyone like that in my job I would have had the boot a long time ago. You are dealing with children!!!!!! If you don't like your job which obviously you don't you are a miserable being you need to leave the clinic ...it would benefit without you being there causing stress for families! Pathetic clinic stay away.
I wanted to change my review about midtown pediatric just because I feel the clinic rightly deserves it based on my recent experience. I initially wrote a negative review about the receptionist behavior but I would like to mention that my son who was seriously Ill and when I contacted the clinic he was immediately given attention. The receptionist was very responsive and she scheduled an appointment with Dr gelman within few hours . While we have never had any issues with Dr gellman rather she has been a wonderful doctor all this time. And I just like to mention that when my sick was severely sick she gave a very clear direction for my son's treatment which literally saved his life. I am forever grateful to Dr Gelman for being such a wonderful doctor.
Dr. Bayer is an amazing doctor, and I have brought both my children to her since they were newborns. This has been over the span of 7 years. However the receptionist are beyond rude. Their attitudes and how they speak to patients has been questionable for years. However I experienced the utmost disrespect today. I missed a phone call with doctor Bayer, due to my ringer being off. The receptionist Madeline stated I had to pay. I got my credit card after she hung up the first time, I called back. She hung up again without even taking payment? I’m confused do you want to take payments for missed appointments or not? I shouldn’t have to chase down the practice because the receptionist has too much attitude to take a payment. I moved out of Toronto many years ago, but chose to drive from out of the city to continue seeing Dr. Bayer, as she’s a great doctor. But customer service like this, just leaves you baffled, wondering if you should tolerate disrespect from a receptionist who clearly continues to disrespects all of us who come here. 5 star rating for Dr. Bayer, and 1 star for the receptionist Madeline, with a nasty condescending attitude.

This place is a complete joke! Was trying to see a pediatric dermatologist for my 7 month old daughter who is covered in eczema. My family doctor sent over a referal but was told they are completely booked for the next 6 to 9 months. I said fine, let's see the pediatric allergist in the meantime but was told she's too young for an allergist. Once again I said fine, let's see the regular pediatrician for now and get her opinion on what's causing my daughter's severe eczema/allergic reaction which I suspect is from the milk formula. I called and was told that my family dr. needed to send another referral which she did. They responded with that due to high volume of referals at this time they are no longer accepting new patients. The website clearly says that Dr. Flanders is accepting new patients and that they have SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS available!!! I've been trying to get this appointment for over a month for my infant daughter and I keep getting the runaround... The receptionist was brushing me off and could wait to get me off the phone. It's absolutely disgusting that they treat people this way.
After reading the reviews, I was starting to doubt if I should go there but I really wanted to meet Dr.Joseph for my daughter's skin condition. I went there with a mental shield and armor based on the reviews. All the staff were nice and patient. The only cons I would say is I find it boring for the children to wait in the waiting room with no activities/distractions to help with their patience. No music, no toys but with Covid I understand it's probably to avoid germs but they could have still put the TV on, the TV was off, some young children were impatient because they had nothing to do while waiting. When you wait more than 15 minutes, it's starting to get long and you need something to distract you and think about something else, which is why I give 4/5. Update: I now give 3/5. Setting up an appointment or follow-up appointment is really a pain. As an organized person with 3 young children, I don't have time for back and forth. I wanted to book an appointment after my visit and they told me that I could go home that somebody would call which I found weird but didn't want to think about it too much. I waited till the end of the day to receive a call but nothing and when I called them to book, they said they would call me to book it, never did. 1 week later, still nothing and I have to call again when all they had to is to book that appointment while I was still at the clinic . I don't know if they read Google reviews but I suggest they so a BIG clean-up like training, customer service, trustworthy, or change staff, whatever.. I'm sure most of us go there only because the doctors are nice, otherwise, I would had simply choose another place where they are professional and respect your time.
