Metro

A good supermarket. It is not the cheapest, but it has a good price to quality ratio in my opinion.

Some what expensive but overall good customer service

Metro has some good items and stuff in that sometimes they have some good deals on but they are a very expensive store. I like shopping at giant Tiger and also no frills and food basics. But like I said, Metro staff's friendly there and that and they got some good items sometimes but they're very expensive and the manager there. His name is Scott. I believe he's not very friendly. You ask him something and he doesn't know what to say. He and he doesn't seem very nice to his employees. Sometimes I've been in there and I hear him talking back to the employees and that it's not very nice. Someone needs to do something about that situation

Needed a sprinkle while got all my other groceries. The girl on the register was initially ok but turned to be rude because per her I awaited other customers on the line. I asked her at the very beginning on my turn that should I pay for my groceries 2-3 items and then come back with the sprinkle and pay or put my groceries aside, go with the rest customers and then I will be back. She agreed, just in 4 minutes time her behaviour was changed. If she was my employee, she would be home today. While metro can still train her on customer service, the rudeness will still remain in her blood.

Exasperated at having been turned away at Costco Erin Mills as they would not accommodate our last minute sandwich tray order, and frustrated as the online service and phone lines were dead ends, I pulled into The Metro deli. Hesitant, as I could see the deli manager was clearly managing a shortage of staff and a busy workload, I waited while she juggled all her tasks. Nicole then approached me with a smile and asked how she could help. Understanding we were breaking protocol, I was desperate and open to any suggestion she had to feed 12 people last minute. Using some creative thinking and her tray ingenuity, Nicole had us on our way with our mission accomplished in no time!! Thank you so much Nicole , you are a treasure who any establishment is so fortunate to have representing their business!
