Metro in Iona Plaza is our third option for daily grocery shopping. I’ve noticed that prices tend to be a bit higher compared to other stores, but the cleanliness and organization here are truly unmatched. The store is always neat and well-maintained, which makes the shopping experience pleasant. Staff could be a bit more friendly, but they get the job done. Parking is abundant, which is a big plus. Overall, a solid spot for grocery shopping if you value cleanliness and convenience.

I love Metro for a few things that they have such as their fresh cut fruit trays. The prices have been going up recently, which is kind of a bummer because they’ve been pretty consistent for a good couple years but it last for a good I don’t know four or five days I think more like four, but it’s fresh cutting the store or close enough. It’s hard to get a better fruit tray than from there and the price is very reasonable.nnWith Metro, I do shop their regularly, but there’s just certain things they’re not grateful for unless it’s on sale or you know there’s a special promotion or something like that but I mean for the most part you know they have a good quality selectionnnThey always seems like there’s way too much staff compared to what they probably require for the time when you go in there’s always staff kind of hanging around and you know maybe they’re on break or whatever but it always feels like they’re overstaffed but that’s a good thing when you need it right it’s better than being understaffed and waiting for 40 minutes just to check out which doesn’t happen therennMetro was probably one of the more well run or up there with some of the more well run grocery stores and the benefit is the convenient location.

As a senior on a limited income, I’m disgusted by how far this Metro at Mississauga Valley has fallen. Prices have exploded, even the “clearance” produce is an insult — trays of bruised, rotten, and even moldy fruit still being sold instead of thrown out. This is not thrift, it’s greed, and it shows complete disregard for seniors and struggling families who are just trying to afford basics in a brutal grocery inflation. This behaviour is a blatant cash grab and shows utter contempt for the community Metro has absolutely lost its way, and Mississauga residents deserve better than this. Just awful!!

I visited the bakery section to buy a cake but the service was disappointing. The staff member asked me to wait, which I didn’t mind. However, after a couple of minutes she left the counter and told me to wait another 5 mins. I was left standing there with no assistance. This is not the level of service I expected, especially when the bakery wasn’t even busy. They really need to train their staff on how to deal with customers, the customer service was extremely poor. If the staff has an extra workload, they should still prioritise helping customers or the store should consider hiring more staff members.

This has got to be the worst metro, the produce is never fresh, the meat and baked goods the same, customer service is horrible, the older ladies at check out are miserable and don’t want to help. Why have them there if they have to check with managers regarding incorrect prices. Give someone with authority to be able to check and change prices. I bought some sprinkles today and they scanned wrong, it really should have been free under the scanning code of practice but you need a manager to authorize it even though the associate checked the tag and item. Gimme a break
