"Danforth Food Market opened in May 1986 and now grown to six locations across the GTA.Corn and eddoes are fresh and fragrant, as are the three many types of mangoes in the produce aisle. The well-maintained meat and fish counters skew heavily West Indian: we offer goat feet, shoulders and legs, and an assortment of tripe, plus five kinds of snapper, massive kingfish, cut pieces of shark and Jamaican goat fish. There is also plenty of smoked mackerel, herring and cod. Head to the freezer for the beloved pistachio kulfi.Danforth Food Market stocks a wide variety of Caribbean food: Barbadian food, Jamaican food, Trinidadian food, Guyanese food, and food from other Caribbean islands."

Great place to get Caribbean groceries. One of the only places I can find with decent Bajan hot sauces. Good selection of beef patties if you get there before they are sold out. Good source of chunked frozen goat.
This is one of my favorite west indian food supply stores. They sell a decent amount of products and they have been in the area for a while. Although, they should have more black and carribean people working who know the product
Great place for West Indian food shopping. There's a fish and meat counter in the back to buy goat, oxtail and more and of course fish.
If you are from the Caribbean and you ship barrels back home. This place has both cardboard and plastic barrels at an affordable price. This supermarket doesn’t not have all the bells and whistles of a larger supermarket chain but you can get your Caribbean goods here. I listed the prices for the barrels below.
Was it pleasantly pleased to find a fruit that I haven’t eaten in three years at this location. The items that I found here aren’t available in The Midwest. Has a great selection of Caribbean items that most places don’t have. Facility was fully stocked, clean and staff was polite. Will suggest this market to anyone visiting the Toronto area.
First time at the Danforth Good Market. Didn't expect a Caribbean market. Such a great surprise. Distracted by the amount of Guyanese groceries, like tamarind balls, Lala's curry powder, tennis rolls, I forgot I came to the market for fruit. I like to make my roti fresh, but they even have dahlpouri in the freezer section. Definitely looking forward to fresh guinep in the summer.
It good... just disappointed they didnt have much essentials like shadow Benny and duck and golden ray... but the fish and the other meats are always fresh.
West and East Indian foods both perishable and non. Decent prices but some things are not labeled as to their source and so food labels need to be clear
The store always has a distasteful smell. Makes it hard to spend time browsing for items and causes me to avoid this store and go to other stores for items. Would reconsider going if this was dealt with, as the store is otherwise a good place to get things.
A one stop shop for all of your groceries. Love the place!
