Mackenzie was our salesperson. She was keen, attentive, professional and empathetic. She showed me several options and listened to my needs and wants for the perfect vehicle for our family, budget and lifestyle.nMackenzie was patient and advocated for us to the management team to provide us a fair offer.nManager Scott was also patient and answered many questions we had about EV vehicles. We decided on a regular gas options and he had no problem even after spending an extended period of time reviewing EV benefits with us.nAt the end of the day, Mackenzie not only won us over with her personality and style, but also her ability to make the sale work for bannister and for us. Highly recommend her to anyone searching for a vehicle.
I saw a car on a Thursday night at Bannister GM in Chilliwack. Messaged the dealer that I’d like to see it Friday morning and Brad was there ready to show me the car. Very nice looking 5 year old car with 22,800km on it. I was only going to rule it out but after the test drive, I bought and took it home Friday afternoon. He was a very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly salesperson.nThe insurance people were great too, explaining the process of buying extended warranty etc.nWhen I got home, there were a couple things I’d missed on the vehicle while I was captured with all the bling. Jarred Harms in service replaced the battery and the other things are guaranteed to be fixed as well. I’ll have what I expected for a newish car and am very pleased all round. Josh was my sales rep. He was very helpful and listened to what i was looking for. No pressure and found me a truck in my budget. Super happy with the staff there. All were friendly and helpful. Traded my 2017 Ford Fusion in and got a fair price for it. I bought a 2023 Chevy silverado Z71 4×4 6.2L with 36,280KM. My experience there was 5 star. I recommend Bannister GM Chilliwack.nn2 star review : So this is my second review to add. After 11 days my trucks engine exploded needing a new engine. It went with no warning at 5:30 am on hwy 1 westbound in Abbotsford by clearbrook exit. I was lucky to have momentum to make it from the fast lane to the shoulder. I sat there for 3 hours for a tow and had to tow it back to Bannister GM Chilliwack. I had to pay extra and I mentioned this to Bannister GM and my salesman Josh. At this time on Wednesday 21, 2026 I had no idea the engine was done. That night I found out. Bannister got me a rental which was nice. The process was good. The next day which is Thursday I had to be there from 9am to around 7pm to get into another truck. However I lost 2 days wages and had to invoke the 30 day return policy which again was moving well. So I got a 2023 Chevy silverado 1500 4x4 3.0L 41,000 KM pearl white high country. Nice truck but now 3 days later on Monday 26th 5pm I had to drop it off to service and had to leave work early. Truck wouldn't start on Sunday morning some glitch I guess. Frustrating to say the least. Also it only came with one Fob and you would think with all that has happened in a few short weeks they would get me a second fob for free but I have to pay half price for an $800.00 fob which they offered pay half when I asked Sam the sales manager. That was like pulling teeth to get. Not to mention I lost 2 days of wages to a 6.2L problem that they new might happen. Big law suit because of the 6.2L engine exploding with out warning. I wasn't compensated for lost of work or they didn't cover the extra miles on the tow I had to pay. I feel Bannister GM management missed the mark on customer service and compensation. My salesman Josh is 5 star and staff were pleasantly friendly. But they didn't go that extra mile or even try other than me asking them for a extra fob and only covering half just isn't customer service in my opinion. For that reason and the fact I now have my second Truck in the service department in 2 weeks says it all. Stay tuned as I still have to see what the problem is with my new truck.nnWell Sam had spoke with me and offered to cover the second fob for my 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country. I am greatful for that as it was $850.00 A small gesture on their part goes a long way. Happy to say My fiancé bought a 2026 GMC Canyon AT4X she is happy. I still recommend Bannister and the team. So I am changing my 2 star back to 5 star. Thanks to Sam, Josh, and Chris in service which were all very helpful and understanding. Thanks team.
The team that helped me find my perfect vehicle were amazing, I’m so impressed the way the took there time to find the absolute perfect vehicle for me. This was my first experience buys a vehicle from a dealer and I am satisfied with how they put it all together for me. They stayed until I was all done after hours and they were professional and very caring . I highly recommend to anyone out there looking for their next purchase.nThank You so much for all you have all done for me and my Fiancé Chris.
