I hope that those who have had negative experiences have appropriately voiced it back to management. Please recycle electronics responsibly or donate to those less fortunate. We are all one. Update from year ago.. Under warranty, I called service and they helped me over the phone in which I was able to fix problem. Two computer stores I walked into would not even suggest anything helpful but to bring in for service. I just saved a lot of money and time. At the end of the day, research and do things on your own. The repairs and customer service at Memory express is amazing.
Manager Lucky has always been a person I can get informed and friendly computwe advice from. Never had a bad experience with staff or policies. Their price matching/beating is fantastic. See an item you want on Amazon.ca and if they have one they will beat the advertised price. I just save $25 On a mouse so worth checking them out.
Bought most of the parts for my mid-range gaming desktop PC here. Their deals were great for Black Friday and Christmas time, and when competitors had better prices, they would beat the price by 10% of the difference under their Uber price beat policy. The staff were always very quick, professional and friendly when I visited the store. Their website is phenomenal as well.
I found what needed on their website, placed the order and they called a couple of hours later to tell me the order was ready for pickup. I was in and out with my order in 10 minutes. Staff was very good. Explained warranty and return policy clearly. I feel good about supporting a local brick and mortar store.. Same price and faster than ordering from Amazon! 5 stars for sure.
Recently built a PC and bought all of the parts from Memory Express. The staff was knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. They were helpful in finding the best components, and ultimately got us what we needed for our build. Also good selection of equipment for sale, central location with lots of parking. I would recommend memory express.
When you walk in, there's a big open area to try out different computer and laptop setups with different hardware for each machine. Then to the right side of the store, there are all the small hardware stuff that you can buy with a ton of checkout lines. The employees were very nice and helpful with some questions. The store price matches parts, which is very nice if you want a new mouse or keyboard on the same day. The staff told me they will start stocking up for Ducky products, which I'm very excited about since NCIX who used to stock on Ducky, has since closed down.
I feel this is the last big name computer store around lower mainland, their stock and selection is not as previous years. The price is OK but they willing to do the price match. If you are not hurry you can find better price online with free shipping. Of course you can price match again. I hope they are last longer to stay in business.
This is a great place to buy computer parts. After NCIX went down, this is one of the few stores left that can compete with online retailers. Not only that, they are also able to price beat them by 10%. I saved over 100$ on a single build. The service is topnotch, they install components and upgrades firmware for you on-site. You are completely insured.
TL;DR A great place with the best price. If like a great place to buy computer and camera parts, come down here to buy something. With their Uber price match policy, they have the best prices in Canada. I one got a case fan that costs $9.99 in Memory Express down to $3.40 with their price match policy. For a deal, there are no better deals better than a 70% off discount. Also, most of the staff are very nice and are very helpful. They have always found me the right parts whenever I asked them to find me something. Moreover, they have never hassled me with defective returns. They do test the items first, but they never assume you are trying to cheat them. Just this fact, makes this place very rare among the other computer stores. Overall, if you fair prices, good service, and a friendly environment, come down Memory Express and check the place out.
Purchased a motherboard but it had some compatibility issue with my CPU. They refunded it and I ended up buying more parts from them which they price matched with no hesitation. Jeff and another lady were friendly and helpful. Chris, who was obviously way more knowledgeable than me, gave valuable advice. Sales staff are attentive and not pushy at all. I thought NCIX was great and it still is but Memory Express was even better.
