Matsuya Korean House

The environment is good. And it's crowded all the time! The air-conditioning is very strong. The seating is quite spacious. There are bar- like seating near the window too. They have a variety of HK-style cafe cuisines. Some of them really bring nostalgic memories. They have Russian borscht macaroni! There used to be Borscht-flavoured cup noodles too! Overall, it's not too bad!

I have a BBQ pork with macaronis in soup and egg. The BBQ pork is a bit dry. The milk tea is silky but the taste of tea can be stronger. To compare, this cafe's Newmarket branch is more outstanding.

One of my favourite HK style joints for breakfast and lunch amazing selection and great value can't beat it. Service is typical plenty of parking my fave for breaky is the instant noodle and HK tea and lunch the classic baked pork chop in tomato sauce in my opinion one of the best tasting

Food is good here, but less menu selection compared to other HK style cafes. I had the fried chicken leg on rice. We tipped using the pre-tax total, and the waitress spoke to us and said we have to pay tips on the post-tax total. First of all, tips is optional. Second of all, it doesn't make sense to tip on top of a government tax. It will be awhile before we return to give Matsuya another chance.

A typical Hong Kong style restaurant. With fusion Korean dishes though. The dining area was clean and spacious. The food quality and portions were both good. Furthermore, the price was reasonable. It was not busy when we were there. It is allowed to have indoor dining currently, and there were clear plastic to separate the tables. They took customer's forehead temperature before you head in to the dinning area, safety protocal. We will come again to try different items.

Only came here for breakfast. Food was average. Milk tea was great. Afternoon tea menu looks good and will be back to try.

Used to come here often before pandemic. Breakfast was great, I even ordered take out at the beginning of shutdown in 2020. Last week is my 1st time been there after reopen. We went there around 3pm. There were many people eating already. Tables are quite crowded in the middle, while only sitting on the side can keep a bit of social distancing. Food is tasty and customer service is good as usual.

It was my first time having lunch here. The restaurant was very clean & spacious. It’s a nice place for food and chat with friends. The environment made us feel very comfortable & relaxing. We enjoyed the food there. The service was great! It’s been a while since I ordered from Matsuya. This time I ordered two combos to go. The bento lunch box with lemongrass pork chop was good. It came with two side dishes including: tomato fried eggs which was yummy but, the fungus tasted oily and bland. The curry beef brisket was also tasty. It was nice that both combos came with Borscht soup and a drink. The price was reasonable and the portion was quite big.

One of my favorite Hong Kong style cafes. I love their satay beef noodle soup with egg sandwiches. They are now open at 10am and no longer offer breakfast menu, so be prepared to choose from a limited menu if u go before 11am. Dine in is pretty spacious, clean and safe.

I normally don’t leave reviews but we ordered a side of haianese chicken other than the food we ordered. The chicken came to us looking a bit raw with some gel substance. We stopped eating it once we realized and packed it to-go and microwaved it at home. And even after that, my mom still got diarrhea from eating it. Be careful! I have a picture I’ll include.
