Rookie Sports program is a complete scam. They collect fees for your child to participate in the program and then they bombard you with numerous emails asking you to volunteer. Why do I need to pay YMCA to coach my child? when volunteer coaches are unavailable you are asked to volunteer again. Coaches come to the practices sick. YMCA encourages coaches to ask parents to bring snacks to share. So, after your child spend 30 minutes on the field, they are offered junk food.
I love this place! Thanks to the YMCA I have lost almost 100 pounds so far. Their swim classes are great, and their gym is clean with great mostly updated equipment. I love that a lot of ellipticals, recumbent bike, and stair climber have TVs with a small variety of cable channels football!!. Everything is very clean The staff if wonderful. The cardio room is always open when the Y is open confusing from looking at the schedule online, gym refers to the basketball courts I've been told by them. I love their sliding scale membership fee based on income. Something for everyone, even disabled people like me. And you can bring a friend a few times a year per person so they can check it out before you "bring them to the dark side". No judgement felt here, and people of all kinds are you here. I love the diversity. And the hours are wonderful. So come out and join us! The sauna is the best!
We are visiting and wanted to swim so someone recommended the Marysville YMCA. The staff were friendly and the changing room was clean and large. It had both a row of showers as well as individual shower stalls. We enjoyed the hot tub and will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.
Nice, clean pool. Hot tub is nice. Locker rooms are clean & spacious. This is a no frills pool which is ok for bringing my daughter who loves water...wish there was a lazy river. Nice staff.
So these guys have been charging my dads credit card since December despite not having a membership. They DO NOT EVER answer the phone or return calls. It is absolutely impossible to get ahold of anybody at this location at anytime. I tried calling the financial director and was transferred to yet another message about having my call returned. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would say do not, do not, do not go there or join or sign up for swim lessons. That is what my dad is being charged for. The lessons ended LAST YEAR and he is still being charged.
Pretty nice Y. Has a pool. Wish it had a hot tub and lazy river. They have a track, weight room and offer classes. Free parking. Kind of an older, drab building.
I've been going here for the past 6 months and I love it, it's never to crowded, it's clean and everyone is very nice, most classes are free and I love thay I can go to a class here and there, it's the same as any other gym except there are things for the kids to do. I started going to loose some weight and I have lost 25 lbs of fat and feel better then ever, the only downside is that they are not open 24 hrs. This place is worth every penny.
I used to work here while I was going to college, it was brand new at the time 1998 so the building is not that old it would be silly to build a new facility every 15-20 years. It was a great place to work, I was a lifeguard and swim teacher and we were sure to clean the deck and check the chemicals. After reading the reviews I am happy to hear that the majority of people think it is a great family friendly facility. The one poor review threw me off, I live out of state now but will be sure to stop by next time I'm in town to see if things have changed.
I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW HAPPY I AM THAT I SIGNED MYSELF AND MY FAMILY UP WITH THE "Y", SPECIFICALLY THIS BRANCH. This facility has employees that have thee best customer service hands down out of all the gyms/family centers/clubs that I have been to. My 4 year old son loves basketball. So when it's open gym, the staff always gets him a small basketball hoop and a basketball for his size, which makes my son super excited and happy:- The maintenance guys are AWESOME! They keep the gym freaking clean. They are ALWAYS making their rounds cleaning and fixing things. THANK YOU MARYSVILLE YMCA EMPLOYEES FOR BEING SO GREAT! YOU ALL ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!
They are not currently not allowing memberships from other YMCAs. They said it's because they want to make sure there's enough room for their existing members except they'll let you buy a new membership. So it really has nothing to do with space and really just about an opportunity to make more money. Way to use the pandemic to your advantage and claim your hands are tied. Reached out to the CEO of Snohomish but just pawned me off to a local director who just sang the my hands are tied and I'm just the messenger song. I paid for the membership anyways because I want to play racquetball with a friend. The buying a whole membership just to play racquetball couple times a month seems ridiculous but for me it's not really about the money it's about the principle of things.
