It’s a really low end mall. I hadn’t visited for like a decade and it was like I remembered but even worse. Not much to really visit stores wise and quite a sketchy location. Wouldn’t recommend visiting.nnIt’s one of those malls that I ponder it’s longevity. As a kid it was okay, in my teens it got sketchier and now into my adult years it’s not a place to visit. But for nostalgia it was a neat trip.
This mall is decent, not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean, the mall in the SW 26th ave off of 17th is much grimmier!! Ok maybe not MUCH, but definitely at par. There’s a lot of crime at both but not violence in my opinion. I’ve lived in the hood for most of my adult life and I can confidently say that in every neck of the woods there is some kind of connection with crime and not very nice people etc. So, before you judge too hard, just remember, you’re not that far from it no matter where you are.nOne thing that disappoints me of Marlborough mall is that it lost a lot of its “good” or should I say ‘better’ stores to MANY one-off stores I’ve never heard of and personally, not my taste in fashion! - most again, my own opinion selling items of lower quality at higher than expected prices…so that kind of saddens me because I would quite often run over to this mall to grab something that was I was familiar with at decent prices. Still not great quality stores, but ones with names I could pronounce and been in handful of times. Now about the only thing I go to this mall for is Walmart, for the same products Canadian tire or shoppers drug mart sell, just usually at better prices, and sometimes the Dollarama, SpecSavers, or Tim Hortons. I do not regularly go here nearly as often as before but it always seems to be busy. About 6/10 times I visit here I am chased down in the parking lot for “spare change” but whether or not i give anything to the person has never given me any grief or issues. A lot of bad rep is said about this mall, but in all honesty, it’s not that bad. If you need something quick and in the area, by all means, there’s nothing to be scared of, it’s just a place and others, for the most part, mind their business and are quite friendly! I give it only 3 stars because it could be cleaner or spruced up but the employees do a good job for what they can.
If you are close the area, It's ok. If you want to shop. But if you are far from the location. it's not worth the travel nothings seems interesting enough to visit it. I'd say it is kinda dull. Thats's just me.
This mall was good close to our place. It's easy to go to store. You can buy all you need. They have a food court. You can relax after work .recommended yes. And the washroom was very clean ever the cleaning and the staff was very approachable, the sink and every cubicle wash sanitized. The security guard was approachable. The mall of every family!!
Anything you may need, even a Cobbler in the food court area, something hard to find these days! Enjoy your day! Shopping is a breeze early and late night, very busy during the day.
