Chinook Centre - CalgarynAs an Edmontonian, I naturally compare every major mall to, of course, West Edmonton Mall. West Ed is much bigger, but Chinook has something different going for it. It feels fun, vibrant, airy, and open. Located right on McLeod Trail, it’s impossible to miss and it is a destination every Calgarian knows well.nnI was here for a specialty store that is the only location of its kind in Alberta, but what stood out was how enjoyable the entire mall experience was. The shoppers seemed a little more fashion-forward, the mix of stores is excellent, and the food court is worth seeing for yourself. It’s spacious, energetic, and doesn’t feel like a typical food court at all. The mall has clearly seen significant renovations over the years, and they’re doing it right. In a world where Amazon dominates so much retail, this is the kind of place that reminds you why people still enjoy shopping in person.
CF Chinook Centre is definitely Calgary’s premier shopping destination and easily meets all the city’s shopping needs in one place. With over 250 stores, it houses all the major players, making it incredibly convenient.nnThe food court design is brilliant and very well laid out. One feature I really like is the pedestrian bridge that connects the mall directly to the street—it's completely unique, as I've only ever seen bridges connecting to bus or metro stations before. Overall, this mall perfectly caters to the city and is a fantastic place to shop.
**CF Chinook Centre** has been one of my favorite malls in Calgary for over 30 years, and it is always nice to come back whenever I'm in the city.nnOver the years, the mall has done a great job of updating and modernizing the space while still keeping many of the familiar stores, shops, and food court favorites that I've enjoyed for decades. It has that perfect balance of feeling fresh while still bringing back a sense of nostalgia.nnThe mall is clean, bright, and easy to get around, with an excellent variety of shopping, dining, and services all under one roof. Whether you're looking for luxury brands, everyday essentials, or a quick bite to eat, there's something for everyone.nnIt's easy to see why CF Chinook Centre has remained one of Calgary's premier shopping destinations for so many years. I always enjoy my visits and look forward to coming back every time I'm in Calgary.
Passing through Calgary on the way to Winyfrom Banff and we stopped here to do some quick shopping and have a spot of lunch.nAbsolutely huge shopping centre/mall with everything you could possibly want to find there, you name it they have a store there.nFood hall was big with plenty of choice and there was plenty of parking.
Very nice mall chock full of everything for just about anyone's fancy.nnTons of parking in parkades and lots of options for shopping.
