Marbles Restaurant was established in 1977, the building itself is a former livery stable which has now been transformed into a cozy dining room and a small but powerful kitchen. Owners and staff have changed, slightly, over the 30+ years we have been open for business but we still hold onto the same family feeling that we always have. Our fantastic loyal customers have watched this restaurant grow for 30 years and we don't plan to stop anytime soon, but don't worry we'll never get rid of your favorites like Whole Earth salads, or Chevre stuffed Lamb Burgers. So keep watching as this hidden little treasure of Waterloo history pumps along to keep our city happy and well fed.

Don’t judge a book by its cover or in this case a restaurant by the outside. This place is a gem! Would return and already did! The outside appearance is an old yellow house but the inside is fully renovated and very nice and clean! Food is exceptional! Love the fact they use local beef and beer! Beef is no hormones and steroids, etc. Calamari was absolutely delicious! The Cesar salad dressing is homemade and definitely something I recommend! Great uptown restaurant; glad it didn’t close because of the LRT construction.

As we are eating our delivery we are blown away with how everything tastes! You have new customers for life! Portion sizes are amazing. Everything tastes gourmet and delicious! Really nice old space in uptown Waterloo that has been refreshed. Delicious food. Nice selection of local craft brews. Excellent knowledgeable service.

I've driven past this place for years thinking I should check it out. Well, now I've been twice in one week and feeling like I should have stopped in years ago. The atmosphere with the old wooden posts and beams is amazing. The food is delicious and the staff were excellent. The menu is small but what you get is high quality food at a resonable price. Try the Budda Bowl for something unique and tasty!

I had dinner at Marbles last evening, Nov. 1st with some family members. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Our server was friendly and helpful with menu choices. I highly recommend this establishment for a great meal. Try the apple and pear salad with pickled grapes in it, it is/was delicious a starter.
