China Garden Restaurant

China Garden has very tasty food and friendly service. The crispy fried chicken is a hot seller and goes fast so get there early if you want to try. Shanghai noodles is another favourite. Tonight I tried their green beans with garlic and it did not disappoint, a little spicy, well flavoured and soft but still had some crisp, also tried the spring rolls...it was all fresh veggies inside and you can tell it's made from scratch and not just some frozen product they're serving. The guys cooking there really know what they're doing. Not a fancy place at all so don't go on some romantic date cause you'll be disappointed by the atmosphere. It's just a little Chinese joint with really good food.

Excellent food. I've never had a bad dish here. Serving sizes are generous and the flavours are right on the money. Only been for lunch. Even on busy days the service is still quite quick. I see they now offer delivery through the BeyondMenu app. Will have to try this sometime soon.

Any negative comments are usually from people who expect too much from a fast food Chinese food restaurant. Can’t expect high end quality food and service for the money. Is a reason it’s in a University neighbourhood To be fair, based on money and overall type of restaurant, it’s a great place to get food Some mention the atmosphere as being dim and noisy with owners selection of music and television. Is true, but once again only adds to the overall atmosphere of the quick order type of place it is Having to wait 40 min for order isn’t abnormal for Chinese take out ESP such a popular place in the area it is located If you take it for what it is, will be your favourite as it is mine

Overall not a bad chinese restaurant. If you found the food at China Bowl (on King Street) too salty, this place would definitely be a good place to try it out. The price is reasonable. Their congee is not bad.

I've been going to China Garden for almost 15 years now and I've always had great service and the food is literally to die for!!! Finding authentic Chinese food is hard now a days. If that's what you're looking for, China Garden is the place to go!
