Maple Ridge Leisure Centre

Have only used the gym. Gets 3 stars because it has great equipment, its all super clean and the staff are really friendly. It loses 2 stars because theres always hoards of high-school students crowding equipment and being loud and obnoxious. They often hijack areas for more than 30 minutes. I have a baby and a wife to support, I want to be able to get in and do quick workouts after work and get back to my family, but because of rude and selfish teenagers I either always have to cut my session short, or spend double the amount of time just standing around while 8 kids slowly take turns on machines while messing around.

My favorite indoor pool in the lower mainland offers a fantastic experience. Here are the highlights:nn1. The water and facilities are modern and clean, especially considering how busy the pool areas can get.n2. There is a 25-cent fee for locker use.n3. The entry fee is $6.n4. Amenities include a steam room, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, lazy river in the kids' section, lap pools, and a tube slide.n5. The staff is friendly and accommodating.n6. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty.n7. The pool area is well-maintained, and guests are generally respectful.n8. There are gender-neutral changing areas, some of which have showers, toilets, and small seating areas that can accommodate families of 2 to 4 people.n9. The best time to go for adult swim is on weekdays, between 7 AM and 3 PM. Weekends tend to be busy.nnOverall, it's a wonderful place to swim!

The locker system is a shame, you have to pay a dollar non refundable, it’s a cash grab. No one use it and people put their bags on the benches. Make it free. Everything else is amazing , staff, pool, very clean, gym is very small and crowded at times, but that’s acceptable. Parking is a pain too. Overall it’s good place to bring your family.

Locals don't know how lucky they are to have multiple pools, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, water slide - all at their fingertips for just a few dollars for the whole family. Is it perfect and luxurious? no. Is it fantastic value for money and a great amenity to the local area? Yes.

This is a very nice pool for recreational purposes. We love taking our baby there. We appreciate that they have changing tables available unlike other leisure centres we have been to.nnUnfortunately, we signed up our baby for swimming lessons and we found the program to seemnvery informal and disorganized. We have friends that signed up their babies at different locations and what they received was way better.
