Champion Athletic Club

Champions is a great gym with staff who genuinely care about every person who walks through that front door. I love training here and although i just recently moved to Pitt Meadows , i will continue to train here because everyone is so supportive. I have trained at other gyms in maple ridge , and although the facility might have been "newer", the people who worked there were not very nice and made me feel very intimidated. The membership rate is very reasonable and the equipment works. I also like the fact that its a big open gym with lots of space. If you have a problem with the music their playing , bring your own headphones and listen to your own music. Just like everyone else........

Good meat and potatoes gym, but isn't maintained. Equipment is tired and needs updating badly. Leg room will kill you in the summertime. And side step the silverfish running around. You'll need to wash your hands every 15min due to the grime on the free weights, if there is ever soap filled up. Used to be a great gym!!

Equipment is mediocre. No AC. Hope you like listening to same 50 songs because that's all Steve will play. Speaking of Steve, he constantly has people coming in to the gym to ask for refunds and instead of listening to them he yells over them. He will blow any argument into a screaming match if it's not going his way like a petulant little child. That being said Jas is an amazing trainer there and genuinely cares about his clients, too bad the negativity of Steve over shadows him. No water fountains either.

If you are about getting in, moving some weight, doing what you have to do, and getting out, no complaints. If you want to walk around socializing in your new Lululemon outfit drinking Evian water, this is not the place for you.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They continued to charge us after our contract ended and now won't respond to any contact while I try and sort it out and get some sort of refund. Sounds like I'm not the only one...
