After a mix-up with another campground close by, my wife and I found ourselves without a tent lot on a long weekend. Luckly we saw the sign for Maitland Family Campground. The owners were great to us. They do not have tent lots but they do have a couple of small A-frames. They are just the right size. With a double bed, night stand and a table for two. Conveniently located beside the public bath and shower. The campground was clean, the other campers were great! I was able to sit on the little porch and watch humming birds while drinking a coffee. Thanks again for going above and beyond Barb!
We stayed 3 very comfortable nites at this clean, quiet campground. The owners are very friendly. The kids in the park were having alot of fun on rides and in the pool. Large lots and not squished close together. braging rights bingo and washer toss games as wellPlayground: YesPublic restrooms: YesPicnic tables: YesBarbecue grills: Yes
Beautiful campground. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The other campers were friendly. The grounds were very well kept, neat and tidy. There is a playground for the kids, a nice pool, fire pits at every site and a rec hall. The camper cabins were neat and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Great place. Very friendly people. Definitely enjoying the campground and all it's offering. So much fun.
Stayed here for 1 night only because of time restrictions. I loved this place. Clean showers, nice size sites , well maintained. Owners so friendly and helpful. Had the best nights sleep ever while camping. So quiet and peaceful.
This park run by very nice and helpful family who help with anything you need. Sites are large and well maintained. Pool was in great shape. Restrooms/showers could be better...
Seems like a lovely kid friendly campground with many activities and lots of good folks around.
This lovely campground is off the beaten path and found down a lovely country road in Nova Scotia. There is a pool, washrooms and a shower of sorts. The amenities are few. No laundry and no store onsite. Owner says that the tiny town just down the road needs to be supported ... there is a store and laundry there. People are friendly and it appears that many of the sites are full time residents. Price is a bit high for the lack of facilities.
A small family run place. The pool and grounds are clean and well maintained. The new trail and dock to the pond was a great addition this year.Really enjoyed kayaking on the pond.Great view of some bald eagles,a beaver and a family of ducks plus trout and some very curious cat fish.Loved being close to the tidal bore,Burnt Coat and Anthony Park.Other walking trails and museums within a 5 to 10 minute drive.Well worth stay.
Very nice, cozy campground. Friendly staff and owners. Well spaced lots.
