Clean and bold flavours - a fabulous date night dinner! We started with the french onion soup and Hokkaido scallops, and had the braised short rib and lamb saddle. We were surprised by how much we loved the vegetables. The mushrooms in particular were so intensely flavourful. Great service as well; our server Justine was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Can’t wait to come back and try the other items!
Love love this place so much! Chef Masayuki is so talented at authentic french food! And his wife Carolina is the best host you could have in a restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious. The cocktails are too! The decor is very subtle, charming and comfortable. Great patio too. Highly recommended for a date night or to impress anyone! We will be back to try everything on the menu! The lunch menu looks really fun too, reminds me of a Parisian bistro!
Delicious Food I really love it and the portion is perfect for me. Their desserts must try! You'll fall in love with it. The patio is very nice but I think better make a reservation ahead of time since there's not much seats. I see they all are reserved. Who doesn't love patio? The service is good I'm satisfied. I would go there again soon.
Exceptional service and food. Carolina’s service was one of the best in town. Her detailed and customized service fulfilled our needs. In terms of food, everything was great. Their foie gras, mussels and duck confit were outstanding. The risotto under foie gras balanced out the foie gras’s fattiness. Very well balanced and delicate. The mussels were cooked perfectly, tender meat and creamy sauce - not fishy at all. Duck confit was very well done. Not dry at all, just perfectly tender and fatty. The skin was super crispy which added extra texture. I’d definitely come back for these.
Went in for a friend's birthday celebration dinner and had the best time. We all tried different things off the menu, and were not disappointed with our selections. I had the french onion soup and romaine salad to start, with the lamb as main. It was so delicious and grilled just right. Definitely recommend
It is a very cozy restaurant where you feel you are welcome. The french menu, winlist and 5 star reviews escalated our expectations but I believe 4 star is a fair ranking, mostly on the basis food quality and experience. We tried one appetizer, two mains, and dessert and wine. See the photos for verification. The scallops were nice and cooked perfectly with excellent toppings. Duck confit was alright, the vegetables were not prepared properly and tasteless. Short rib was disappointing: altough braised in wine, was too dark and chewy. It should have much softer. Cheesecake: obviously subjected to interpretation but Japanese cheescake would have been a better name. I liked the ambiance, service and everything else, yet it was not 5 star.
Off the beaten path on the Dupont neighbourhood, Chef Tamaru Hint: Maison T offer classic French cuisine on his menu. All the dishes we had were super. Our fav was the Foie gras, rich, buttery, and delicate. Bonus: All priced v reasonable so we can go back to try other plates. Just like most other reviews, we love this spot.
Delicious food. The scallops and French onion soup were amazing! For main course the short rib was tender and delicious. Desserts were very tasty as well Recommended dishesSeared Hokkaido Scallops, Chocolate Terrine, Cream Brulee, Red Wine Braised Short Ribs, French Onion Soup
Had been meaning to stop by this local french bistro restaurant with a cool Japanese influence! For some time. We ended up going for a set menu in Valentine's Day and it was truly such a special experience. The food was fantastic, wine and Soju paired perfectly and the service was truly special. Stayed mate and had some great conversation with the owners. Highly reccomend.
Amazing local French cuisine with Japanese influence. Best duck confit that I had recently. Our group of four ordered the Seared Foie Gras, Seared Hokkaido Scallops, Trout no Arctic Char, Short Rib and duck confit. Everything one enjoyed the food. Desserts are wonderful as well. We will revisit for sure!
