Hands down, favorite dinner spot in Toronto. Really love the ambiance there and everyone is attentive and pleasant to talk to. Feels like I’m in France! Great wine selection and they give very helpful recommendations. The food menu changes pretty often based on produce availability so you are always in for a treat and can discover something new. As someone who likes to orders same dishes every time I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy any subsequent visits, but every time we come back I’m pleasantly surprised. Each dish is packed with flavour and tastes delicious. Very nice cocktails as well! Looking forward to trying more wines and dishes here!
What a gem ! We went there without expectations but were happily surprised. We appreciated how complex and balanced the dishes were. You could still taste all the extra flavours of the vinaigrette without it overwhelming the original flavour of the leeks for example. The service was impeccable and attentive. The wine advices helped us pick a Riesling up that fit our palate and budget. Coming from France it feels like coming home for a night
Escargot was great - good sauces, tastey tomatoes, good balance of the crunchy bread crumbs. Bone marrow was very savory, almost too much onion - combination of onion chips and chives almost takes away from the flavour of the fat. The flavour of the leeks was confusing to me, and a bit too much mustard seed for my liking. Leeks served cold is not for me. Mains were very lackluster. Chicken and fish. I would say the fish was the better main as it had a bit more flavour combinations. Chicken was cooked perfect, but very uninspiring. Drinks were good. Bar tender was excellent. Very interesting flavour combinations with very unique drinks. If I go again, I would only order appetizers and drinks.
Amazing food! There was truly not a dish I didn’t like. The ones they maybe stood out to me were the zucchini flowers which I likely wouldn’t have ordered if not recommend and the tuna. Would go back again in a heartbeat. Also the service was top notch!
We went for our 10 years anniversary and we had an amazing time. The food was amazing, and the service was perfect. Only thing I would say is that the choice of drink if you are not drinking alcohol is very, very limited. Not even a coke. I definitely recommend this place.
What a lovely dinner. Had been wanting to try Pompette for a while. They have a great patio that has covering if it rains but it’s not like a full enclosure so it’s legit. The food was delicious and presented well. Extensive wine list too. My friend and I had a lovely evening at Pompette. I’d return!
The beef Wellington was amazing! The cauliflower salmon roe tart was also really good. When they say that the portion serves two, believe them. I didn’t and ended up overeating. No complaints though!
We came here with group of friends for a birthday celebration. The ambience inside is great, caring staff, good service overall but unfortunately at this price point, I’d expect something better. Food is okay in general, no need to expect something unique/tasteful.
Brilliant menu, friendly staff, true craftmanship! Can't pick which one was our favourite but the vol au vent was definitely the most pleasant surprise. Lovely little restaurant and just can't wait to go back in summer when new menu will be released!
The food here is great and the service is phenomenal. The portions are a little on the smaller side but everything was well-balanced and delicious. We had the shrimp with zucchini flowers, the goat cheese tartlet, the morels, the snail vol au vent and the rhubarb tartlet. Everything was delicious and nothing disappointed! We also had some great wine with our meal!
