Maison Mathis Yale

The atmosphere is really great and it’s definitely a unique spot. I went for the waffles. The cappuccinos were subpar (burnt taste) and they use chocolate syrup as opposed to real Belgian chocolate drizzle on the waffles. One deserves real chocolate on an $8 waffle. However the whipped cream is amazing and the waffles themselves were pretty good. Overall it’s a really cute spot to meet up with a friend with a little room for culinary improvement.

Love the waffles! My favorite type of whipped cream~ One star off for the low reproducibility of the avocado crispy rolls.........

Extraordinarily average café. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I didn't get food, as the ambiance is wonderful--the smell of waffles is intoxicating and goes great with my coffee. I look forward to trying their pastries sometime. However, actual food isn't impressive: salty, greasy potatoes with flavorless, lackluster eggs. Considering the flavor and tiny portion size, the price of $13 is ridiculous. Not to mention, the cashier seemed clueless and forgot to connect the buzzer with all our dishes... There's definitely something missing in the kitchen. I would only stick to their pastries and already prepared foods.

Very busy/noisy. Food was good, service was good. Things were very expensive.
