It is so important to buy the best fitting shoes, so you can avoid major foot problems in later years. The staff at Mahone Bay Trading Company, Bayer's Lake, are very professional and knowledgeable about their products. All shoes don't fit all people. Make sure you feel comfortable in all shoes you try on. I have found three manufacturers that absolutely make my feet happy. Mahone Bay has the shoes I need and I have managed to shop during sales. Check out the great choices. You won't be disappointed!

Poor customer service. I don't think I've been to a shoe store with a more unfriendly atmosphere. I went to this particular store with my mother - the store had a few other customers, but not an overwhelming amount. We were not greeted or remotely acknowledge when we were browsing. My mom found two pairs of shoes that she intended to buy, and sat down waiting to see if any other sizes were available. She sat for about 10 minutes until I joined her, carrying another two pairs of shoes I intended to buy. A possible sale of at least four pairs of shoes. We sat for about 15-20 minutes, and not one of the employees acknowledge us. I understand that there were other customers who were there before us - but even when they were done with those customers, they moved onto customers who had just entered the store. We got up and left, and I think that was the only time one of the employees recognized we were there it was merely eye contact, but that was the best we got. The store is nice and clean. It's in a convenient area for parking. Mahone Bay Company has a nice selection of shoes. It's a shame we couldn't even see if they had our sizes. Customer service/retail jobs aren't fun, to say the least, but this lack of customer service was ridiculous.

The sales person who looked after me was polite, friendly and very customer orientated, the shop has some really nice shoes but you may find some not available if you take larger s shoe. izes or require a wider fitting

My husband and I went in I was looking for a particular pair of Remonte sandles, 2 sales ladies were working and we had to ask for help. I wanted a pair of sandles like i was wearing but in a clay color which i already have but there wearing out . They did not have them I i quired as too where the other stores were and asked if she could call them as it was getting late . She could not because she did not have the numbers, Now i can find the name and everything by going on the internet, If she knows her product she should have been able as They are not a new item as i have purchased them more than a year ago and they come back every year.

Abby sold us three pairs of beautiful shoes. Educated about the product, professional and a pleasure to be around! Looking forward to shopping there again soon.

The Customer Service here is very poor. I am hopeful the company culture will become more service oriented.
