In 2013, Oh My Sole! and Curwin Health & Sport joined forces and are now known as Oh My Sole! Footwear & Orthotics. We currently operate out of our flagship location on Young St. in Halifax. This now makes Oh My Sole! Footwear & Orthotics the premier destination for footwear and orthotics in Atlantic Canada. We have the best selection of footwear and now also offer custom foot orthotic, orthopaedic bracing and compression services all under one roof.

I bought my fourth pair of birkenstocks from oh my sole on young street. I was always impressed by the exceptional wear these shoes got. However the newest pair I purchased from this store were not of the same quality. The leather strap on the left shoe had completely worn and frayed down and did not hold its shape after only one month of wear. When I brought them back to the store the product manager told me that Birkenstock has dropped them as a supplier and they would send them off for repair, even though it was clearly a faulty shoe and at the time of purchase I was told I had a year for refund of full money or a new pair of shoes. I got them back in no better condition. Safe to say after giving them hundreds of dollars worth of business between work shoes, personal shoes and compression stockings I will be taking my business elsewhere. These are photos of my shoes after they were sent away for repair.
I came to this store several years ago searching for a pair of comfortable high quality to wear at work. I bought a pair of Dansko clogs which cost over $200. I wore them for a few days and they hurt my feet badly. When I took them back to return them they said they had a lot of problems with the shoe basically they were defective and wouldn't give me a refund because I wore them outside. They knew about them being defective before I bought them and didn't say a word about not being able to return them if I wore them outside. This is very poor customer service and were very sneaky. I should have reported them to the better business bureau
The WORST place ever!!! Be aware and stay away from this place. I wish I can rate 0 star. I order my orthotics insule from this place like 3 months ago. Never get the product. Whenever I call them they blame on the lab for late delivery. Can’t wait too long because my feet are really hurt. Go with another place. So be aware and stay away from this place. They took money like $400 but you will never get the products
I would recommend Oh My Sole! to anyone looking for expert advise about their feet. I met with Marissa, their pedorthist who assessed my gait and fit me for custom orthotics. They took a few weeks to arrive - understandable in these times, but now that I’ve been wearing them for a month or so I’m so happy I chose this place. Will be a repeat customer for sure!
Wonderful service and wonderful products! They were all so knowledgeable and helpful with my orthotics and shoe recommendations. Can’t recommend these people enough!
Saw a part of boots on their website that said they were in stock, however when I went to the store they indicated that no sorry we just haven’t updated our website. On top of that the girl working behind counter could barely muster the energy to say hello or offer any kind of assistance. Won’t be back, that’s for sure.
I received a gift card for my birthday. Upon arriving they did not have any shoes to fit me. Told me to call back next week as they don’t know what’s coming in next week. When calling back, again nothing. When trying to return the gift card they would not allow returns for gift cards. So now I have a card I can’t use and a business that does not care.
One would assume knowledge and expert advise would be a staple at this place of business. I was lucky to get a Hi as I came in the door but no staff were on the floor to field questions and offer assistance. Couldnt find any footware with steel toes on the floor, nor a good selection of options for inserts to reinforce a pair I may have brought in. Better off scrolling forums to get the footware advise I need I guess
Was traveling from a ways away and I called on Monday.. They were the only store around with the particular CSA approved boots I wanted and I was worried that they may be gone when I arrived that Thursday. The friendly voice on the other end was more than willing to help, and assured me that it was no trouble to set them aside. Today when I arrived and explained I had boots on hold he even remembered my name from the phone call. Very happy with my new boots and even happier with the service!
A bright open store with friendly, knowledgeable staff. I was in twice, a week apart, and the fellow who helped me the first day, James, immediately spotted and recognized me when I came in for an exchange to try again. He picked out a few more pair for me to try, and I left with my 5th attempt this month to find some shoes for work that don't make my toes go numb. Apparently the width of my toes compared to my heel is significantly greater, and finding a shoe that wide in my small size 7.5 women's is proving to be difficult, compounded by the depth needed to accommodate my custom orthotics. But James has been patient and diligent in helping me with my hunt.
