Mabu Generation

Mabu generation offers a wide variety of food choices, with main dishes, drinks, and lots of desserts and snacks are available here. A bit overpriced though, but you get the delicious foods and good services which justify all that. One thing to notice is that you have to wait quite a long time before getting in in the lunch and dinner time, especially on weekends. I would suggest this place for couples, friends and families, they offer child seat and I saw elders here as well. It is not a quiet place which is good for younger friends to chit chat, also good for families with children around. I take one star down for the slowly prepared food and sometimes the back music could be too loud to talking to my boyfriend. Overall I would definitely recommend this place for almost everyone.

I only started going to Mabu at the beginning of October and have since then been going every other day. Mabu offers an unique selection of food, drinks and deserts in a relaxed, dim environment. The roasted milk tea with no sugar and no ice is fantastic. I actually like it more than Green Grotto and The Alley, and that speaks volumes about how good it is. The Taiwanese chicken hot pot with wine is another one of my favourite. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes or more if you are going with a party of 4+ in the evening.

Ordered the weekday lunch special. Includes an entree, choice of bubble drink and a small pudding desert. I chose the pork ribs and rice for entree. Too heavy and salty with too much sauce for my taste. Felt oily and unhealthy. The drink had tea flavour without too much sugar over powering the taste. Don't plan on returning for the lunch special. Nice decorations. Seats are very close to each other.

Taiwanese food place run by Cantonese folks - that's fusion right there. People come here for the cool bar vibe but Taiwanese food is simple, warm, and home-cooked, and does not jive at with the bar atmosphere. Service is lacking during busy periods and can be abrupt. They take off 10% from your bill if paying by cash.

Cool vibe, quick service, great variety of food (at very reasonable prices). The mango milk slush drink was my absolute FAVORITE! Would definitely recommend.
