Take One Studios Karaoke

If I could leave a zero star I would. Came with my friends after work to have a nice time, ended up having a speaker completely falling on us. It ended up hitting my friend on his head and back, and also dust from the ceiling fell into our eyes. The owner was being very secretive and refused to give us their information to contact them. A lot of our friends were sitting around there and could've gotten injured. Our bags with our valuables and drinks were also crushed underneath the speaker. We also looked around the room and there was also zero cameras for zero accountability... we were offered another room but with the way the building is constructed, it looked very unsafe and we ended our night. Boss is very cheap and wont pay for proper construction to be done. In closer inspection, there are holes in the wall and the ceiling looks very poorly done. If you're considering to go here - dont.

Went to Take One during happy hour 1pm-9pm, great value for the money $12 per person, including 2 drinks. Took us some time to get used to the karaoke machine but once we got the hang of it it was easy to find what we wanted. Good selection of Chinese songs, and we were able to find most of the English, Korean and Japanese songs that we were looking for.

Went just after 1 o’clock for the Happy Hour special $12pp. The staff showed us how to use the machine then we stayed and sang for over two hours. Time went by very fast. It took a few minutes to learn the system, but we were able to find almost every song we wanted English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean. For the ones we couldn’t find in the system we found on youtube, which was connected. Very fun time.

My group and I came in for a good time at karaoke. Couple minutes later, we sang and chilled for a bit and a giant speaker literally fell on my friend’s head!! Most of the walls also has enormous holes in them. One of the drinks smelled like garbage. We tried to ask the lady at the front for the contact of the owner and strongly refused. I never put reviews but I strongly DO NOT recommend this area because it is highly unsanitary and unsafe especially for people that want to have a good time. My friend almost died and we needed more compensation rather than just a refund.

I have not gone out for Karaoke in a long time. Like YEARS. This was a random night for my friend and I and we just googled it. We did not know what to expect, but we enjoyed our private party. We are chilled, easy going people Music was outdated, we couldn’t figure out how to use it - YouTube option would have been great and if it worked, but we were able to play our own music through Bluetooth, and so I danced. The 3 employees that I encountered made it memorable for me. Dope AF. Will see you guys again. 32.

Speakers fell on a friend while they were there for karaoke a month ago and the shady owners still refused to provide their contact info to this day. They even had the nerve to call and tell us to take down our reviews??? Shady business, shady owners, you’d be better off staying at home. At least that way you don’t have the risk of a 50lb speaker dropping on you.

Take one has been at the same location for the longest time. It is a nice place to sing some songs if your long live desire is to be a singer. There are lots of songs for you to pick. Because the place is old, that is why the 4 stars. If they spend some money for renovation and update some stuff, this will for sure to be a 5 star place.

One star is a compliment… this felt like two frat boys started a business together. We spent 80% of our time fixing tech issues and only one person working so even waiting for help or a drink will take you 30 min easy… my friends and I were hungry and we’re not even asked what we are going to order. Ordering drinks the staff member had me repeat my order 5 times. I dont rly want anyone banking on having a great time because you will sadly be disappointed

It was an alright experience went on the new years eve. It was on the basis of a minimum spending of $380 for the room, but they had not notified us about everything being basically $1 more until the bill arrived. So it was a bit of surprise, since we calculated everything based on the GIVEN menu. Room was ok, chairs were clean and the system worked well. The staff were really nice as well, so the overall experience was positive but i dont think i'd go back.

Went on December 28th, 2022 for my friend Andrew's bday party. The 2 ladies Karmen and Vivian working were very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Drinks were nice and plentiful. We ended up renting a room for about 10-15 people from 9pm to close for just $15 each which is absolutely fair. Drinks were a bit pricey but understandable. The sound system was difficult to work but got it down eventually but we weren't able to really control the effects of the mics like echo's and so on. My friend ended up getting slightly intoxicated but the ladies were very kind and were entertaining all of us very nicely. Overall a nice place to escape to with your friends for a fun night of singing, dancing, and drinking. I will definitely be coming back! :
