Tried out a hostel for the first time and if it weren't for how much trouble I was put through by the staff, I would give it a 5-star review. The establishment is cozy, welcoming, and in a lively district. However, a whole host of problems arose even before we settled into our rooms. We called in advance to ensure an early check-in, but when we arrived, they didn't allow us to do so and made us pay for an extra day and put us into a different room than our reserved one. The day after, I went and ensured that our 4-day reservation had been successfully moved to the new room we were put in but we were met with more problems. They had cancelled our original reservation and someone else had booked the spot, leaving us with no where to stay for the remainder of our trip. They did find us some room in a different room which was nice. However, that night, the fire alarm went off in our room at around 2am, which was quite frustrating because there was no smoke/fire and no way to stop it from beeping loudly. Then after that, they kicked us out early on the day of our check-out because some technicians had work to do in that room (related to the faulty fire alarm). Overall, the rooms and facilities were very nice for a hostel and for someone who has only ever stayed in hotels. However, the amount of trouble and frustration that stemmed from poor communication between staff and the unfinished new building made it quite irksome and I am unlikely to ever stay here again.

Stayed in the newer suites. Place was very clean, gorgeous room with kitchen and balcony. Definitely worth it and would stay again. Cheap happy hour drinks but the bar was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Breakfast was also lacking. However overall a great experience and would recommend.

Would highly recommend to backpackers and hotel seekers alike. It is in a superior location, surrounded by endless things to do in an entertainment district. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are great. My wife and I got a private room and forgot that we weren't in a hotel or serviced apartments. The bar has events every night and the drinks are cheap. Also, free breakfast daily ^_^

It is the best things I did when I visited Montreal. Great location ( you can just walk to the downtown or the metro station )cheap, clean and the staff are super friendly. However, I can't recommend the place for family.

Just the vet best youth hostel I have ever stayed in. Super clean, friendly staff 24/7, huge clean kitchens, 2 bars with live entertainment on weekends, just a jewel! And in a dorm, only $23.××/night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
