If you want to be close to everything, Hotel Faubourg Montreal is the place to be! It sits right in the city center, meaning China Town, Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Port of Montreal and Montreal Downtown are just a short away. You are surrounded by amazing dining and night life, but the immediate area feels safe and peaceful.nThe rooms are incredibly spacious for couples, offering two queen beds. We were very impressed by the customer service-- our Keurig machine was defective and the staff replaced it instantly. The room was kept clean, with fresh sheets and towels provided every two days.nDon't skip the breakfast it is an amazing all-you-can-eat set up with endless coffee, juice at. They even let you take your food up to your room, which is perfect if you feel like having breakfast in bed. The overall value of money is extremely reasonable. We had a great trip.
The location of the hotel is convenient for major attractions within the downtown area. However, the room was very old with dirty carpets. The Air conditioner was not functioning well and the room was not getting cold at all. We were not made aware about the room cleaning services that will be done once in 2 days. Therefore, we had to use the used towels for showering and there were no extra ones available when requested. The front entrance door, breakfast area, elevator and parking area require hotel card to access. The front reception staff did not notify about the parking access once check out is done. Therefore, we were stuck in the elevator for few minutes figuring why we were unable to go to the parking level. The staff are not communicating anything and it was definitely a very bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all for any family staycation. There are much better hotels around the locality.
I almost forgot to leave a review, honestly this hotel was simply amazing :nnI made a last-minute trip to Montreal for a concert. It was difficult to choose, as there are many hotels in the area; in the end, I decided on this one because all the services, especially the included breakfast, were excellent. Most hotels don't include it or charge extra.nnPlus, they gave me a king-size room more like a whole apartment!. The bed was incredibly comfortable and very warm for the time of year winter. The building is quite old, but they've managed to keep the important parts updated and clean.nnThe staff was amazing; check-in took less than 30 seconds, and check-out was also very quick.nnBreakfast had the basics eggs, sausages, hash-brown, cereal, fruit, etc., and the menu changes daily, so you don't get tired of the same thing. Plus, there's hot water and coffee 24/7!nnThe place was truly amazing, convenient, and welcoming.nnHonestly, everyone who works here really impressed me. Thank you so much, and keep up the good work. I'll definitely be back if I ever visit again.
Perfectly adequate. Most reviews accurate. Nothing upscale or fancy about this hotel, but met our needs. Breakfast is included, and while there is a lot available, it is a bit hectic and chaotic in the breakfast room. Just be prepared for that. The apartment we stayed in has a kitchen, however nothing available to use in the kitchen. They will provide some wooden utensils and paper plates when asked, but that’s it. The decor is definitely outdated and the carpet does have stains, but the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were clean. The bed was very comfortable. Parking is available and they have plenty of it, but be aware you will be paying about $36 a day. The people working at the front desk and in the breakfast room were all friendly and helpful.
I stayed here for 2 nights after a work meeting ended. It was super affordable. The front staff are helpful and friendly. As others say, the rooms need a major upgrade but I was very comfortable and got a great nights sleep. It also had a balcony which was nice to look out from. The cable unfortunately went in and out a lot when trying to watch things. Overall, it’s a great bang for your buck in a central location!
