The individual cakes are very cute and taste is just ok, but would be great with coffee or tea. The Halo Halo was good because of the ube and the Mango con Yelo is just alright, the halo halo is much better between the two. And hopefully they update the price in the place because each cake was $8 which is fine just not what was expected until payment time.
I've been here twice now and ordered once. It's been amazing every time. My son loves the macarons and wants one in every flavor. For me it's the tiramisu cake and the halo halo. I also enjoyed the lemon meringue tart and the strawberry cake. I haven't had a dry cake. Everything has always been fresh and moist. I don't have a picture of the leche flan but it's delicious and I always eat it before taking a picture!! The service is always friendly and I'll be back for sure.

Lunch was great! Delicious longanisa, rice topped with egg sunny side up, sprinkled with roast garlic and scallions, and the pickled cucumber with cauliflower was a nice touch. Can't wait to be back and try the other dishes. Definitely recommend! * Just want to share the latest experience we had dining on this bakery shop. We came in late for lunch and were grateful that they served us with whatever they had left. But sadly, we were given this food with lots of sauce with literally five small pieces of meat in it. Minus 2 stars for the bad experience. I hope the negative reviews will serve as a wake-up call to improve service. Good day to y'all. Cheers!
This is one of our favourite go-to Filipino dessert in Surrey, we love their halo-halo and palabok. Very cute theme inside and friendly staff.
We had to try it. First time we weren't as lucky. Drove all the way from Vancouver only to find out they were filming for Food Network and they were closed for that week... but that day it said it was still open. 2nd time we were lucky and I believe the owner was very nice getting us our delicious treats and halo halo. He also gave us free samples of the turon. Thank you! It was great. The turon is my new favourite. Also had the red velvet cake... perfect balance. Lyra Lou cakes hopefully down the road you guys can open a 2nd store closer to Vancouver... but until then we will come and support you guys! Mabuhay!
I wanted to order a dozen cupcakes in four flavors for pick-up in 2 days. Recognizing that my order was complicated, I drove to the store in person. The clerk told me that cupcakes could only be paid for online even though they clearly take payments in the store and I was prepared to pay IN FULL in advance. I started the order on my phone and encountered a myriad of issues. There was no choice for “2 day” pick-up – clerk said to pick “5 day” and write “2 day” in the Notes section. I had to pick “Single piece” even though I wanted 3. But the kicker was even though vanilla cupcakes are priced at 1, 6 and 12 pieces, they have to be ordered in groups of 10 – for vanilla - really? The clerk tried to help me and repeatedly spoke to someone in the back, but that person did not do me the courtesy of speaking to me personally. So, I went out to my car with my $48 still in my wallet, and 2 minutes I placed an order with Minute Bakery for $1 less per cupcake.
Just had Turon puffs… very delicious. Great ambiance! Very friendly staff. They got many varieties. Everyone should come and check it out. They make custom cakes too!!!
My daughter’s tuxedo birthday cake was a hit! They did all my request to the cake including the dedication, change of size and change of date of pick up. Overall a very pleasant experience with the staff. Thank you!
Nice cake house that does cake and also serves Filipino dishes for lunch! I believe the chef/owner is from Philippines just from the menu items and the unique cake e.g. ube cake it has. The lunch items are reasonably priced, good quantity and excellent flavors. The cake serves as excellent dessert after the meal. Nice bright and artistic decor inside. Can't comment on the custom made cake but would definitely come back over time to try every single menu item.
