There is a snack bar, which I haven't tried yet, but the items seemed quite resonably priced. It serves coffee/tea, and hot foods after 10am The bakery is amazing - huge selection and beautifully decorated cupcakes, perfect for special occasions.
They really do have a bit of everything! I've been by the store few times, but never inside. I was walking by it again recently, and they had an amazing sale on giant heads of romaine lettuce! Where else are you going to find a really good looking head of lettuce for $2.99, really tasty cookies, furniture for your house, and more? I definitely want to go back and check them out again for sure
Kinda of an odd store, like Costco but a bit smaller and you don’t need a membership. Whole section of mobility aids which is nice to see, also had lots of weird import snacks and drinks you don’t see many other places. Very cool
I came here last Sunday around 5 PM. It’s a fairly big place somewhat set up like Costco slash furniture store. I came here because I saw it from my search on Google map for groceries and have read that it is an unique superstore where proceeds go to charity so I’m curious and here I was. The store was fairly quiet given the size of the store. Perhaps there was not enough marketing done for this place and how I wish more people would know this place since the money made here goes toward a good cause that benefit people who are in the midst of breaking away addictions. The price overall it’s not much of a frill. The package food are not much different from what you would find from Walmart or superstore. The bakery section it’s not that great, the produce section is pretty decent, the meat sections are fresh, the frozen food are somewhat expensive and the furnitures are better than IKEA with somewhat affordable prices. I would come back if I ever feel like doing some charity but it would be a good idea if there’s tax receipt for it that would be something for them to think about or perhaps it might be a good strategy to get more people walking by. If you like this review please give me a thumbs up
This is great place earlier known as Price Pro for shopping. One must visit furniture shop where you will get best bargain price in Greater Vancouver. Another reason to buy from this place is that profit is invested for charity. One can also buy Grocery, Bakery, Plants & many other stuff. I bought furniture from here & can assure you that it is at best price in the area. Please buy from here & be part of charitable work.
I love this grocery store. I find they always have great prices for produce and plants. As well I love that they are a non profit and support people trying to change their lives with the John Volken Academy.
Been shopping here for years. Very nice staff. Appreciate the fruit and veg boxes, and great deals too. Thank, you!
I had the opportunity to visit this store while I was getting my car repaired close by. It’s big, really, really big. Lots of parking and lots of furniture, and a really nice bakery. The food and produce was okay for the area but I wouldn’t say it was Costco or Superstore style options. I also read that the Volken Academy next door for addictions and sobriety can work in the store as a program to re-enter the workforce making this a win-win operation to help out the issue that unfortunately plagues all of BC.
Great store. Every time I find something unexpected. Today I found Saffron. I want to add something disturbing. Yesterday was the second time when I bought bread and taxes were added on. First time I caught on the store, but yesterday I saw home. Bread is not taxable. What kind of business is this? I was very happy with the store and the idea to help others. I've become to have doubts. How can they have this attitude? Are pour people who shop there. Practically they store steel from the. What a shame. Nobody checks on them? I would like somebody to do it.
All these years and I still revel with the selection of so many essentials considering sq. footage. Buy disappointed by the current prices though, especially furniture. Sticker-shock has me buying a couch elsewhere. I like the thought of my spent dollars helping others but times are tough and it's hard to justify paying more for less.
