The cafe is beautifully decorated. The staff is courteous and pleasant. We ordered croquettes and fondue and had the cold coffee with ice cream. The food arrived hot and was presented professionally. Best of fusion cooking and a great experience. Highly recommended!
10/10 food, service and cleanliness. The afternoon tea is very a good price for 2 people. I will be coming again this is a place you would come to often and not just try once. I recommend trying the fondues.
Such an AMAZING cafe, dedicated to excellence! Stumbled upon this cafe on their opening day back in November I think, and their service was top tier! I've been back three times since then and every time the service is stellar. The food and desserts are curated so well--so delicious and visually appealing. Also, the SPACE-- especially in Covid times, this cafe is HUGE!! Ample amount of space to sit without being too close to other people. I would definitely pick this place over Starbucks. Don't forget their food menu!! Such a unique and breath of fresh air--we need more fancy cafes like this is Surrey, I'm so happy to say that Tokyo Mithaiwala Canada is leading the way.
It's an awesome restaurant. Clean & Clutter-free environment. Most of the staff are very professional except for one in our experience. As I stood up to look at the photos on the wall,she approached to ask us about how I wanted pay my bill. She came back with the bill & the payment machine, with amount & left it on table ,then disappeared to help another customer. Since there were 3 of us,we had to figure out how to use the payment machine ourselves. Towards the end, another staff member came & kindly finished the transactions. she kept looking at us from the counter & making us feel uncomfortable. Otherwise the mithai is different & very tasty . Cook did great job on all the dishes . Very much enjoyed.
This was a treat for my Mrs and I on my birthday. I was surprised to see indian style high tea. Afternoon high tea is the perfect option to tie over one's hunger The food is amazing! Must try samosa rolls, gol guppas and the vada pav. Unlike a traditional high tea, only coffe and milk chai provided in this high tea menu. The staff are nice and accommodating, however it seemed that the severs were unsure of what we had ordered to drink and took a little bit longer. There is mithai and other pastries ready to be taken home. The quality of the sweets look amazing. I will be sure to take some home next time.
I have had afternoon tea at one of our local 5 star hotels. If I had to compare it to this experience, service/staff, food. The 5 star hotel would rate a 2 and Tokyo Mithaiwala would rate 10+. This place is a gem.
Great food, their chai is the best chai in town! Our server Sukh was amazing and took great care of our table. Their snacks are pretty filling. We had also ordered a chocolate cake, it was pretty good. Definitely recommend this place, especially the afternoon tea!!!
Dont judge book by its cover - if you think of location and look from outside you will be mistaken coz the good part is inside - hidden gem of surrey Mingle - Catch up with friend - with delicioius sweet and savory bites. So glad that I have discovered perfect place for those moments when I dont want to hear some crazy loud music and cramped space - very well spaced nice cozy environment and best of all unique food and sweets.
My family and I got sweets and food here twice while visiting from Seattle. This place is a gem! We tried an assortment of sweets, Oreo bessan barfi, motichoor laddu and the milk cake were our favorite. We also loved the masala tea, Aloo tikki chaat, Aloo tikki sliders, Vada pav, Croquettes, Pav bhaji fondue and the Tangy tomato soup. All items were AMAZING!! Do yourself a favor and stop here.
Went today for afternoon tea with my sister and a dear friend. I had booked my reservation last week. The girl who took my reservations was lovely she took all my details and I felt very comfortable that she had everything correct. When we arrived we were seated in an area to await our table. We waited about 10 mins as the other party was finishing off. When we were seated in the tea area our food was brought out within 10-15 mins. The snacks and little desserts were delish! So beautifully presented. We throughly enjoyed the food and the chai was strong and comforting. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling fruit juice. All in all a 10-10 for food and service and restaurant cleanliness. Will definitely go back! A great addition to a completely vegetarian experience!
