Story

My name is Stacy and I have been a runner my entire life. I ran track and cross country at Woodstock High School, stayed fit through college, and then found myself addicted to marathons after graduating. I ran my fastest marathon in 3:43 in Jackson, Mississippi. The farthest I have ever run is 38.69 miles in 8 hours in Danville, Illinois. This coming May I am hoping to finish my first 50 mile race. I am competitive and enjoy racing, but it is just as much a social activity. My running has lead me to some of the most inspirational people as well as some of my closest friends.

Besides being a passionate runner, I am in the MCC FIT program to become a personal trainer, a pescatarian (a seafood-eating vegetarian), cat lover, my favorite holiday is Independence Day, and my pet peeve is seeing people put chapstick on in public.

Sundays at 8:30 AM I will be leading a 4-5 mile fun run meeting at Lucky Brake Bicycles. All skill levels are welcome!

Purchased my first real bike here few months ago. I then fell in love with cycling very quickly and decided to buy a nicer drop bar bike. Unfortunately, do to my very tall (6'4") size They did not have anything in stock that fit me correctly. BUT, after some great conversation with a couple of the shop employees they recommended a shop I could probably find taller inventory at. The ability to recommend a competitor without hesitation made me a fan for life! Other than the Bike, I buy all of my accessories / whatever here. Period! They have a great group of people running this shop. Always helpful and knowledgeable. I was just in last night to have my bars re-taped and get my shift cable adjusted. As usual. the service was phenomenal and the price was more than fair. This will forever be my bike shop of choice!

I recommend this shop to everyone I know! It's a place where they listen to your goals and help you choose a bike that's right for you. I have been going here for years and it's the only place I will go. I bought 2 bikes from Karrie, had them both fitted and I've had numerous services done as wear and tear happens when you ride so many miles. I've found all the mechanics knowledgeable and if I've run into a problem after I've left the shop, I've brought the bike back and had the problem promptly corrected for free. There are other shops you can go to but beware. They will try to sell you more than you need or even worse make you feel like you shouldn't be in their shop because you don't meet a riding skill level. Lucky Brake is a welcoming place to go for all you bike needs.

My entire family brings our bikes here because these guys know their stuff! My sons are avid riders and consequently their bikes get a lot of wear & tear. The staff is very thorough and we've always been happy with the level of service.

This is one great shop! I've been dreaming of building a custom MTB for quite some time now. I finally got everything I needed to get started. I hit a few snags along the way. I called Lucky Brake to ask a few questions about having their techs cut and fit some parts. I fully expected to have to drop off my bike and pick it back up in a week or so, not the case here! I spoke to one of the owners and she said to stop on by and the techs could do it while I waited. So i of course stopped by. I was greeted by a really nice young man (who was the tech that worked on my rig). You can tell right away by talking to him that he not only knows what he's doing, but also has a passion for bikes. He did an amazing job at customizing and fitting the parts to my bike! Fast forward 1 week... I went back in to have my final parts tuned up. They knocked it out right there while I waited. With in 5 mins of being there, the owner walked up to me and introduced herself to me. She was extremely nice and friendly. She actually remembered our phone convo from a week ago. She has a great shop with great employees. I will be a customer for life! Can't wait to rip on my new rig! Thanks guys!

A good bike shop, but quite frankly, NOT happy with the lack of Christmas countdown sign that had been there as long as I can remember.
