Big bright store, went looking for a particular brand name pruning saw. Which based on the website, said was available at this location. Turns out the saw was indeed in stock, but it turned out to be way more saw size than I needed. However, left with some other items for jobs that had been designated "blue"
As a first time renovator, unsure of materials and fading fads, I was appreciative of the help and support of Tracy in the flooring department. Tracy took the time to talk with me about my projects, and was genuinely interested in them. She gave me ideas, and directed me to products that were perfect in colour, size, and style. Tracy helped estimate the amount of product needed and gave me tips on current designs that would age well with my home, and fads that may be out of style quickly. THANK YOU, Tracy. You are wonderful and passionate about what you do. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Don't bother trying to get a price match at Lowes, it's definitely not hassle free. We had a picture of the shelf price at Co-op for about $10 less on a furnace filter and they refused. You'd think a multi-million dollar company could afford to match for customer satisfaction but nope. Rainbow hair lady at customer service was also about as nice as stubbing your toe. Will stick with Co-op and Home Depot going forward.
Planned to get a washer and dryer set installed, was told they would be calling the Friday night to give us a time estimate for Saturday morning. Never got the call. Waited around all day Saturday, cancelled afternoon plans, wasn't able to do anything other than wait around. Never got a time estimate regarding the delivery and installation of the appliances. Simply told they would call 30minutes before arrival. It is now 3:30pm, and we have heard nothing. Very inconsiderate company, will not be dealing with Lowe's again. Do better. Edit* Lowes called and told us the washer dryer set was brought back to the store due to failure of delivery, that the delivery guys were at our place at 10:40am. This is not true as we were home all day. So, we rescheduled the delivery for Tuesday morning. Surprise surprise, Monday we get a call saying the delivery service tried to drop the washer and dryer set off that morning at 10:30. My partner was home, heard nothing. Also, didn't realize Monday and Tuesday were interchangeable. Whatever, they'll try making the delivery tomorrow Tuesday. This morning, around 8am, the set was finally delivered. Awesome! However. Part of the service was the promise to install the new set for us, and dispose of the old set. The delivery guys decided and decided the new washer and dryer set was too big and heavy for them to move into our condo. Fair, we have steep stairs, they said they'd need two more guys to move the set up into our condo. I'm surprised they didn't plan this out better? But they said they'd gladly take our old set off our hands! Yeah, no. So, now we are stuck with our new washer and dryer set still on the delivery truck, which drove off into the sunrise who knows where. I understand that Lowes uses a subcontractor for their deliveries? Maybe reevaluate your contract with them. And again, Do Better.
The customer service team here is a joke. Like literally.. I placed an online order and trying to pick it up. It shows that they have two but after waited for 48 hours without any confirmation, I went to the store. After 10 minutes, I was then told that they are out of stock and that they would have to cancel the order. While processing my cancellation with me standing and waiting, they just keep on chatting among themselves. I am literally standing there waiting. This is me driving from Calgary to Red Deer because it shows that they have it in store. An hour wasted at the store for nothing and now driving back to Calgary.
Absolutely disgusting customer service and lack of communication. Purchased a washer and stove for mom because hers broke, they told me they had non in store and it would be delivered a week after. We waited and called the day that we were supposed to receive the delivery and whoever picked up my call was not interested in helping at all. Next day I called to find out my order was not put through and they told me I needed to wait another week. I said I wanted a refund as my mom's stove and washer weren't working and were in fact taken out, we needed the new ones ASAP. I come to the store and had to wait 1 hour for them to give me my refund. I live out of town, they cost me money, gaswhich at this point in time ain't cheap and time.
Paid $2,300 for a washer and dryer with 2 day delivery. No one showed up, no phone call from delivery or store, out of the 5 phone calls we had to make, the store failed to phone back with any progress twice, and we only found out by not getting delivery and phoning from our end. No information was given about the cancellation. They finally said came back saying they cancelled the order because no payment was made. We showed them the receipt to get a refund, they couldn’t run a hot dog stand here
I would give zero stars if I could. I went to return 2 strips of tile edging $66 worth with a valid receipt from an Edmonton location of Lowe’s. I live 3 hours from Edmonton and 2.5 hours from Red Deer. Customer service totally refused and so did their store manager, claiming the receipt is from their “old system” and since migrating to a “new system” they cannot take returns from a different location. Date on receipt is August 27th. Today is Oct 12th. Not pleased at all.
So I am so upset!! I waited and waited on the computer for halloween decorations to go on sale the day after halloween. Every store in Alberta were all sold out except for red deer lowes. Which had 1 left, and of course I took it and paid for it. I had great Feelings so happy that I made the wait all worth it. So as I make arrangements to pick it up, they told me “sorry” they sold it on me! But.. they’re “happy to give me a refund”. I DONT WANT A REFUND! I want my item! All I asked them to do is: if and when they come out with the item next year. To just go or that price to me, if it even comes out. That all I ask. And…. No! They told me to complain to someone else. This left a sour taste for Lowes. NOT GOOD ACTIONS!
Ordered a custom window and at the time of purchase was told 35 days well that came so I went to ask the shipping manager Stacey said she will contact the supplier and get back to me the next day never heard a word . 4 days later here I am back at the store. No apologies for not calling and I am told it will be a few more weeks . So I canceled the window and will recommend others to not shop here
