Ordered a pizza, was told it would take 20-25 min but was ready in 15 and made to perfection. Massive selection of hot takeout among many options for takeaway lunches. Plenty of seating available too. Friendly staff. Bathrooms at the back wall by meat department.
Really nice clean, well kept and organized super market. Amazing variety across the board with some top quality produce and meats. Really nice Bread, Dessert and Hot Table section too. Prices are above average but I guess you get what you pay for
A nice location that always has a huge selection of fresh produce, hot meals, and store brand groceries. I personally love their sushi. A little pricey, but they always have good deals and advertised specials. And they recently ditched single use plastic grocery bags in favour of beautiful bright red ones!
Was nice they have products you dont find in other stores
Great store however found some of the signs misleading. Fresh green beans and Brussels sprouts in cellophane bags had a price of $2.99 and $3.99 however the per lb was very small. You also didn't have the option of taking half a bag, get to the cash and suddenly the price jumps to $8.99 and $9.99. The cashier explained the price posted is per lb or kg, however it wasn't clear up front. How about bagging them in smaller bags close to the price posted?
I actually loved this location until this grumpy older woman in the bakery decided to lie today for no reason instead of helping me and being honest about their options. Only God knows why she decided to wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. UPDATE after reading other reviews I see the woman in the bakery gets numerous complaints and obviously they refuse to retrain or replace her so just avoid this bakery and go anywhere else because I don’t believe it’s going to change!
They put a lot of water in freshly squeezed orange juice, don't buy it. The juice used to be good in the past, but now they started to put water. Which makes me think that everything they make, bake in the store will suffer from quality.
I visit this location all the time and have had no issues. Was extremely disappointed by the service I received yesterday at the bakery. Nancy has the worst attitude and needs training on how to service a customer. Rude, arrogant, dismissive, and not what i usually experience in store. I needed 10 cannoli and she said she couldn't tell me how much she could make with the ricotta she had. She refused to give me an estimate, and rolled her eyes when I was trying to guess for myself. She then stuffed the pastries into a container that was clearly to small and passed me the box without asking if I needed anything else or thanking for business. I complained to the manager but will avoid the bakery at this location in the future. Make sure you ask to be served by anyone other than Nancy if you want decent service.
I normally tried to avoid longos because I always assumed it’s “overpriced”. I love this longos. It’s clean and well organized the fruits and vegetables are always fresh I find metros fruits are almost always close to expired. It’s never a long line up and if there is a line up they always open a cash. There is even a Starbucks and a little seating area, and longos has the BEST CAKES. I do not think it’s over priced it’s just properly priced to keep a business going and to keep customers happy.
Since the elimination of plastic bags a few weeks ago, the cashiers at the York Mills location are hesitant to bag your groceries. I wasn’t sure if this was a service change so I asked one of the cashiers if they still bag groceries and she said yes. However, when I visited the location on Dec 23 I had my reusable bags on the conveyor belt ahead of my groceries and the cashier at this time asked me if I required bags. I said no as I brought my own and they are right infront of my groceries. She proceeded to just throw the bags near the front as she was cashing me out and didn’t plan to bag my groceries. I asked her if she will be bagging my groceries as I don’t do it that well and she rolled her eyes at me and unhappily started to bag my groceries. The reason why I don’t go to places like No Frills is that I don’t like to bag my own groceries so I go to places like Longo’s and with the extra premium we pay here I would expect our groceries continue to get bagged whether plastic bags are eliminated or not. Longo’s, if this is a change in service, please let me know, otherwise please clearly relay to your cashiers that they take the initiative and continue to bag customer groceries. Thank you.
