Loblaws

This used to be my main grocery store, but I have swapped to primarily Farmboy and only occasionally come here. The produce at this store is good, it's rotated regularily due to high traffic. The deli and bakery are also good, though they often run out of items which don't get restocked on the shelves for a while. They stopped providing baskets, which really irks me. They said it was due to theft, but it seems to me that treating all customers as criminals and making their shopping logistically harder is a poor choice over just not letting baskets go out past the customer service desk at the exit, or putting an RFID which rings an alarm if people try and leave with them. Farmboy still has baskets, and that's my preferred method for shopping.

Everytime I went there I was treated disrespectfully by their employees. They also spoke to me in a condescending tone, not just one employee but multiple from different departments. I’ve worked retail for 2 years and we were never like this. Extremely disappointing. I do believe there is a pattern of racism here as I’ve spoken with other co workers and friends who had similar experiences.

Update: I changed my original post of 2 stars. The cake tasted good and my son didn’t care about the writing quality. Go figure!nnI ordered a birthday cake for my 16 year old. The writing on it was terrible, crocked and not as I had requested. Totally disappointed.

Extremely unpleasant experience with customer service representative named Laura, who worked self checkout Thursday Jan 8th at approximately 5pm.nShe was very rude to the customers before us, at least that was my conclusion after hearing the tail end of their conversation. I came in and bought 2 orchids, and she very sternly implied that I HAD to put them in a bag. When I asked further she met me with a very condescending and impolite attitude. “When your flowers are bent don’t come back here trying to return them.”nThis is no way to treat a customer who 1. Didn’t ask for assistance and 2. Expressed politely that she wasn’t interested in any help. Because the flowers were lifted off of the scale prematurely which I was trying to AVOID, it would not let me proceed with payment and Laura went out of her way to not assist in the problem she created. I took my flowers to another register and proceeded with paying.nNow I’m not a flower expert but they seem pretty fine to me after bringing them home unwrapped.

Extremely unprofessional employee and supervisor went to pick up an order after waiting 45 minutes and just asked the employee with read her sorry don’t know his name and start be extremely un behaved wait or cancel or go woooo even didn’t asked what am asking about anyway went to speak to his supervisor more worth than him she said I didn’t call witch I called and documented through the app and make another excuse I left witch am there asked her check the camera or the app location then she said I told the employee am gonna fired him which a lawyer guy every time she tried to cover his back with out investigate the truth this location only treated the driver as a third level with this supervisor on duty
