We stopped by Leela's for dinner. I ordered the Boneless Chicken Roti and my wife ordered the Butter Chicken. We found them both to be delicious. I went for the mini but I should have ordered a large. The hot sauce on the side was tasty but it is hot. I'll certainly be back if I'm in the neighborhood. Parking: I could see that, at certain times of day, the parking lot could be busy.
Probably the best doubles I have tried so far. Rich in flavour and everything taste fresh. The serving time is quick, and the staff is amicable and heartwarming. Great overall experience 5/5
This was the first time we came to here to eat. It was a long time since I had Caribean food. We ordered the boneless goat roti and chicken roti. It was fresh and tasty. The wait wasn't too long and it wasn't too busy when we went at around 4:30pm on a Sunday. But we could tell it was getting busier as we were leaving. It's a small joint with a few booths to sit and eat. The roti was light and fresh. Custom service was good too. We could also tell that the customers who were there were regulars which speaks to the quality of the food. We will definitely go back!
Curry favorites are in the trinity style and full of flavor. We ordered our food medium and it was just right. We could have even tolerated a little spicier. Dalpuri was nice and light.Food: 4/5
Doubles - delicious perfect mixture of sweet and spicy! Pholourie - spongy dough, taste a lot of yeast, not flavourful, it's okay. Mango Chutney - not much flavour, taste watered down. Definetly worth getting doubles here!
Deceiving people on food apps thinking they're getting alot more for $7 of potato curry and $12 for jerk chicken. Yes the app says 8ounces but how are people supposed to know the size so they go by the price. 2 * because the chicken roti and whatever was there for $70 was actually half decent. Will consider coming again when you don't try scamming people. Also not very excited seeing my hot food in styrofoam containers...
I picked up two doubles extra chickpea and Goat and they were super yummy. The food was fresh, tasty, and quickly served. What worked for me- the flavours, the price, the comfort food, the freshness, and the quality. What didn’t work- the doubles become soggy and started to fall apart by the time I got home I stay 8 minutes from this location. I couldn’t get a bite of out it. But no reason for me to unhappy. I was satisfied with the way it tasted. Overall- I recommend this place and the doubles. They are true value for money. Though I would suggest, try and eat at the location. Special Thanks to the Indian lady at the counter. She has the most polished customer service skills I have been in a long time. I am confident she is going to be super successful in her career. Hope this review helps the location and another foodie like me.
First time trying Leela’s and I was pleasantly surprised at how similar Caribbean food is to South Asian food. I was told to order “doubles” which was lentil wrapped in roti very much like a south Asian Puri” the lentil was channa. I also tried their jerk chicken with rice and peas and while I asked them to make it spicy it wasn’t. They did however provide a spicy sauce with it which complimented the rice and jerk chicken very well. Overall I would say you must try it if you haven’t had Caribbean food. But for me I think this was the last time I’m visiting it at least this year. The food and taste wasn’t something that I would have wanted seconds of.
Our all time favourite for quick eats- their doubles are heavenly!
I WAS a long time customer of Leela’s until recently my last 2 take out orders were incorrect and missing items I paid for. I called to explain the situation and no attempt was made to correct my order or offer me a refund. Very disappointing customer service. Admittedly the food is great but if the order is wrong, what’s the point of having great food!
