Beautiful B &B. Clean. Nicely decorated with all required amenities. Situated on a quiet street a block away from restaurants shopping and more. The owner is very friendly and provided great suggestions on what to do in Montreal. Will definitely like to stay again.

I’ve been hosted by Richard and JC at their wonderful B&B for years. It was “love at first sight.” The facilities are beautifully furnished and very comfortable, both in Summer and Winter and every season in between. Richard & JC are very welcoming and helpful with issues ranging from where to park (and not) to where to eat in the lively neighbourhood. My only disappointment is when Le Cartier is fully booked on my dates in Montréal; even in these circumstances, Richard & JC have been extremely helpful in finding an alternative equivalent accommodation, which meets Le Cartier high standards. Nevertheless, I keep going back! Highly recommended! - Dimitri

Excellent stay here. Richard was very friendly and welcoming, and has a pocket book of restaurant recommendations! The rooms are nice and spacious, in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are apartment-styled, and feel just like home. The kitchen is clean and kept well-stocked with food and snacks. We appreciated the kitchen ware and fresh croissants. Location is within 2 minutes of the subway, so it's very convenient. It's also really easy to find the place. We highly recommend this B&B!

Me and hubby came here from Brazil. Meet with a fellow named Richard & JC. Really nice gentlemen. I was actually amazed at how nice they are. We booked a nice and roomy suite for 13 days. We went to a restaurant that was suggested to us by Richard and everything was pretty smooth. The problem came on the 4th day. We noticed bed bugs. We tried to explain this to Richard but he wouldn't hear it. Very shocking. This kindness turned into complete rudeness. Me and hubby's trip was ruined. We had to spend 2x more at another bed and breakfast. We also had to dispose of many of our clothing due to the bed bug infestation. At first I thought the other reviews were fake, and ignored them. I will never make this mistake again. There are many hotel and bead/breakfast options in Montreal. Explore your other options. Tchau!!

Great place to be in Montreal. I stayed for a week. I don't like taking chances with random people on Airbnb who do it as a hobby, so I went with a formal Bed & Breakfast establishment run by professionals. Le Cartier is small, quiet, clean, and tucked away in the downtown so you don't get street-noise during the night. Apartment I booked was serviced every day by friendly and courteous owners, and kept virtually spotless the entire time. The apartment was almost as big as my apartment back home! Owners were knowledgeable and kept in contact the entire trip. Kitchenette worked well, WiFi worked much better than expected; no need to tether to your phone! (Lots of hotels have bad "Free WiFi" but Le Cartier was very good.) Came during the colder season and the apartment was well-heated through all hours. Tons of coffee shops, restaurants, and places to see nearby. No complaints at all. My stay in Montreal was very pleasant. Don't cheap out with Airbnb; go with people who know what they're doing.
