LCBO

The liquor control board of Ontario. The LCBO. It's the place you want to come to get wine and related drinks like bubbly white wine champagne Scotch Cognac and other Liquors. Also imported beers. Describe sizes run by the Ontario government from what I understand and this particular one in Hawks Prairie how is it decent crew of helpful people who are always very busy. They always have a changing scotch selection and not makes it interesting for me. They also have a large whiskey selection as well as everything else possible. Other than the Ontario government's run beer store which has all the basic beers and some other Ontario specific beers, this place is the place to go for all the wines alcohols and even beer. Even their worst I would let is pretty good :-) I guess they're making billions of dollars selling alcohol and wine and spirits. Wish I could buy stock in this place LOL. Controlled consistency with variable stock. I noticed many prices have gone up over the past couple of years on almost everything. Such as my favorites to Chilean wine with a glass stopper that used to be $10 is now 13 and a half dollars and that's 35% increase in price is percentage wise significance! Same thing with Scotch 3 years ago a good scotch was far less expensive than it is today. It's really quite the big jump over the last three years and pricing generally speaking. But there's some great values and red wines that are still very inexpensive and they're from all over the world. LCBO hawkesbury is a nice place to buy wine, beer and alcohol drink. The place is often busy because is only few kilometers from the province of quebec where wine prices is a little lest then quebec. I have heard that they are soon moving to a bigger place and bigger parking lot on high 17 where most commerce businesses moved already. The collections of wine accommodates all budgets. The personnel is helpful.

Clean store, nice people, Bilingual and good service, large selection of wines that you save dollars on compared to Quebec, parking can be a bit tight on weekends but I always get a spot. They will even offer to bring your boxes of wine to your car if required.

I just want to thank Jennifer Koegh for what I would consider, going out of her way to serve me. Yes I place a large order every year, but I have to admit that finding the right vintage wines in the quantities I need so I can distribute them to my customers in a timely manner before Xmas, was a source of stress and frustration for me until i came across Jennifer. She pre-selects a bunch of quality wines from which to choose from so that I’m in and out as efficiently as possible. Worst place for a LCBO, extremely crowded parking makes getting there a hassle, also very small store which makes it very crowded. Lines are usually long since busy. Staff is friendly though and helpful.
