Lahori Karahi Taste

First had their food in January 2022 and was terribly disappointed with the taste or lack thereof. Fast forward to this past weekend and the contrast could not have been greater. The food was delicious, the flavours were on point, the seasoning was perfect. My only mild comment on this occasion was that the paneer Tikka could have been cut in smaller cubes to allow for more surface areas for seasoning on the outside. Butter chicken was perfection, the channa curry was a happy medium between conventional channa curry and that used in Trinidadian Doubles. Naan was great.

Food was quite oily but the flavour was nice. The naan was great! We didn't like the taste of the chicken biryani. Service was good!

This restaurant has a great assortment of amazing tasting desi food. I have tried multiple items and have loved all of then. The Haleem is one of my favorites in GTA. I haven't had better beef haleem. Their Karahi was really amazing and along with the perfect tandoori naans it was a proper feast. Both chicken and beef kabab are great. Must try. Really amazing place with great sitting to enjoy a nice meal with family or friends.

Lets get the first question out of the way, what exactly is Karahi? Born in Pakistan, It's a curry that is slow cooked for a very long time with various types of meat and spices. The end result is a spicy, savory, fall-off-the-bone-tender curry that makes you wish time travel was possible so that you can enjoy the meal in an endless time loop. But alas, until time travel is invented you'll just have to order a lot to keep the delicious going. Next, lets talk about the service, it's not terrible but there is room for improvement. As this is a mom n pop operation, things sometimes get lost in communication but it usually gets resolved pretty quickly, just check your order before heading out to make sure everything is there. Other than that, I'll definitely be coming back and you should too!

Had a family lunch today at this restaurant in Ajax. Very authentic taste of Nihari and Lahori chollay, biryani and chat papri needs slight improvement, and Super soft nans. Loved the over all experience with ambience, cleanliness, presentation of food. I will definitely visit again in the future.

Visited first time. Awesome environment and great taste. Had a breakfast platter aka "lahori nashta". Yummy and excellent. Owner is a good man with smile on his face. Let me describe first the platter: It comes with fluffy puri or mouth watering Naan. Chick pea are delicious and true lahori taste. Pickle aka " Achar" is adding a good taste. Aloo pujiya best in town. Last but not the least the Halwa. Good work !

If I had a choice to give them less than 1 star, I would. We catered with these guys. They messed up the order completely. Forgot to add the salad completely gone missing + sent us a completely different order Gave us Qorma instead of karhai and that too watery !! . We called them twice to report it and no apologies were offered. We had more than 30 guests at our place and it was a complete disappointment !!!!! NEVER Ever order with these guys !!!!

Brought the family for Halwa Puri breakfast. The puris were huge! Great portions and great taste. The owner himself also came by to check on us, that was a nice touch! We also ordered tea keema naam, both also delicious! Will come back again

Had a fantastic experience at the Lahori Karahi ! The ambience and their service is extraordinary! I must say, I was truly impressed by their food. My server was great, very attentive and gave great suggestions for us since it was our first time here. The Malai chicken came steaming hot and was expertly marinated: flavorful, tender and the perfect balance to the naan. Definitely recommend this place, a great place for food & family environment.
