The food was amazing! We got three different naans and they were all so unique! See pics in the review. We got the beef brisket, chicken tikka and chicken mexicana… beef brisket was probably the best one. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not 5 is the restaurant smelled a bit odd, like a weird fake garlicy smell. It was really off putting so hopefully the restaurant sees this review and addresses that smell so more people can eat in the restaurant. But definitely recommend ordering from this place!
AM A Z I N G food!! We were referred to Naan & Chai by a client that day so we decided to check them out. Really happy we are there. The restaurant was clean & busy with takeout orders. We ordered the Tandoori-, Butter- & Bihari Chicken stuffed wraps and they were very favourable. I’m not one for dipping sauces but they added another fabulous layer of flavour. The menu stated the Bihari and Tandoori chicken was spicy but we found it to be more on the mild side, bursting with flavour. We found the servings large for one person so next time, I’ll be sharing. We certainly took some home for left overs … can’t wait to over-warm and eat! We are definitely adding this restaurant to our favourite places.
The food is overly priced and the quantity is not satisfactory, I liked the innovativeness in food that they offer naan with various types of fillings. We ordered two full naan, one Bihari kabob naan spicyand one Philly cheese steak naan not spicy. The taste of Philly cheese steak naan was good, but we did not much like the Bihari. We also ordered karak chai, but the taste was not good as well.
First visited Naan and Chai location in summer 2021 and I believe it was opening week. The naan was perfectly cooked but the stuffed butter chicken was fairly underseasoned salt. Fast forward to January 2022 and we tried them again, got the butter chicken and Mexican stuffed naans and what a difference. The flavours were amazing and the dip added a nice contrast to the stuffed naan. I think it tastes even better when the curry has become a bit more dry. Would definitely recommend and a good portion for a hungry individual as well. The chai has great flavour and lots of nuts so quite a pleasant experience.
The restaurant needed to be tidied up a bit, a number of different smells in the air. The bihari naan meat filling was awful and stringy - quite pricey as well. Dum keema naan was dripping in oil - the naan itself wasn't bad. Kashmiri chai was pretty pricey and very sweet.
Not what we were expecting. Savoury naans were all slightly spicy even for non-spicy fillings, not suitable for young family members. Food: - I got the Philly Cheesesteak Naan in half portion 2 pieces, and first bite was really good! It had good flavour, with a little bit of spice, and cheesy goodness. However, halfway through, the naan did become quite boring, to the point where the 2nd piece was almost a chore to finish. - I got my young 3yo child a mushroom and mozzarella, which was labelled as non-spicy, however, it also had a slight spice to it. My child could not eat it, and I had ordered the full 4pc portion. - My husband tried the butter chicken naan and achari paneer naan , both half portions to try. They were good, the chicken was plentiful, although the chicken breast were overcooked and dry. - They put sesame seeds on all the naan, regardless of the sweet or savoury filling, and it seemed like an easy topping, however a more complimentary topping ie. Whipped cream and sprinkles for the sweet naans would make them more appealing. - My child also wanted the gulab jamun cheesecake. The gulab jamun was quite crumbly, perhaps not very fresh. - I wanted some of the specialty teas but none were available. Restaurant: While the seating area was wide open with a good number of tables, the restaurant was quite bare from the walls to the food display case. Other: There were a lot of flies, some really large ones, that were swarming around diners including some of my friends that dined with us.
Got the brisket naan and Kashmiri chai. Was so yummy. 10/10 recommend. They have so many options to choose from. Will try the butter chicken naan and tandoori next. The lady who served us was super nice too. Good food, good service!
Wow me and my wife went here for lunch Friday noon. Service fast. The Regional manager served us. We had the philly steak and Bihari Kebob naan. My favourite is Bihari Kebob. Amazing flavour. Juicy but not sloppy. Creamy soft meat and great spices and flavour. So filling we can't finish the whole naan. Coupled with Kashmiri tea and karak chai. Both are very nice. Word of advice. Tea is much better to dine in thank delivery. Update April 1st 2022: Like most places unfortunately their quality went down fast. 2nd time we have ordered and it was really bad. The Keema naan was drenched in oil and was uneatable. The 2nd time around I ordered behari Kebob one and it hardly had any meat just refried beans and it was super spicy. Very disappointing to get 2 naans and 2 teas for almost $60 and it's bad quality food. When it happens twice in a row then it's a pattern and there's no quality control. For almost $18-20 for a naan this should be much better like when they first opened.
Definitely not a 5 out 5 experience, more like a 3.5. The food tastes delicious and is easy to eat. It's a tiny bit more expensive than it should be, but it is very unique. The indoor dining had a smell of strong detergent, I couldn't stand it. The really need to keep the washroom door closed and control the smell. The patio is decent, nothing too special. I did ask my server to light the candle and she said it's too windy, and to be truly honest, it wasn't windy at all. So I asked her to light it anyway for the vibe, and she paused and said that she will do it when she has time. LOL. I waited and waited but she never got around to lighting the candle.
We went there for first time for dine in and food was great. We ordered different types of naan and saffron tea which was a perfect combination. Surely recommended and host was amazing.
