Lago Trattoria

Before you read this whole review, I must state that I do recommend this place. We do have our reservations about the establishment, so please read further. We were greeted at the door by several friendly servers. Unfortunately, seats were open but due to reservations we had to take a spot at the bar. So make a reservation if you want a table. The servers were fast and efficient, and informed us of the daily specials. The appetizer was great (we got the Arancini) although it would have been even better with a couple more on the plate. The restaurant was filling up as we ordered our mains, so they took a little bit longer than we anticipated. But when they arrived, we were pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food. Everything was rich and full of flavour, which made our wait worth the while. Our server asked if we were interested in desserts but we politely declined because our bellies were full. Overall, give this place a shot! Great classic Italian food with a neat spin.

Delicious food! Ingredients are fresh, fold is perfectly prepared. Unique menu items. Great service. Intimate atmosphere. Small dining area so reserve ahead. They do cater to children but I would say this is a more adult environment.

Nice, casual atmosphere, excellent, friendly service and attention to detail. I had the bacon truffle oil pizza with a quality, Argentine Malbec. Delicious. Each ingredient shone in a quiet way. Quality cheese. Believe it or not, the foccacia & dipping oil is worth the trip! We'll be back.

Great ambiance, and seafood. I really enjoyed the lobster lasagna and the wine pairings for dining experience that really captured feeling of Port Dover. My only complain would be the prices being 5%-10% higher than other restaurants, but it's acceptable due to the stylings and overall experience.

Nice little spot on the Main Street. Grilled cheese was great. French fries epic. Recommend to steer clear of the salad though, which tasted like an old store-bought bag. Service was also very very slow despite not being busy at all (small town thing?) so don't be in a hurry.
