We heard the pizza was good so gave it a try.

The pizza is absolutely delicious. We had the funghi pizza which had lots of mushrooms and arugula. It is easily the best pizza we’ve had on the island and fares well against some of the better Vancouver pizza places.

Our second dish was the gnocchi w beef ragu. It was melt in your mouth delicious! Just excellent robust flavors.

It will be hard to try other dishes on our return.

Only have gross craft beer. Pizza was not too bad. Very poor selection of booze

On occasion my partner and I contemplate going to other establishments in Nanaimo but based on many mixed bag experiences, we always end up at either La Stella or it's sister restaurant Hilltop Bistro.  Friendly service, neat ambience and always amazing food.  Never disappointed.  An honour to have these options.

The Calabrese pizza is the best pizza I've had anywhere, period. Better than in Naples.
