So delicious!! Reminded me of the food we've had an Europe. It was so fresh and flavourful. Loved the chicken slouvakia! Our kids had half orders of the pasta dishes which was perfect for them.

This is a lovely place. Perfect for those special occasions or when you are just craving Greek food.nnThere are many steps up, be advised.nnThe service, food, and ambiance are worth the climb. I had the Lamb Shank with a lemony gravy, rice, carrots, potatoes, and a Greek salad. Oh, and pita bread.nnMy companion had the Lamb roast. Delicious, both of them cooked to perfection.nnWe arrived around 5 pm without a reservation and seating was ample. After that it began filling up.

Asteras deserves all the accolades; it’s certainly some of the best Greek food I’ve had anywhere. Service was very professional and friendly. The food was equally as good and tasty. Definitely recommend the moussaka! It’s popular, I would recommend reserving a table! I would definitely come back!

While visiting Nanaimo again, it was my resquest to return to Asteras and it didn't dissapoint! A Sunday night, we did have reservations I recommend and it was open but filled up at time passed. They were VERY busy with some large groups and it took a few minutes for our server to get to us. But Angeline is worth the wait! Energetic and very helpful with the menu, Angeline is a gem, literally zipping around to serve her tables!!nI ordered the roasted oyster appetizer and they were very plump and in a lovely lemon, garlic sauce! Delish! I had the lamb shank special in a lemony gravy which was cooked perfectly. Other party members had the chicken souvalki with a caesar salad and the Greek spaghetti and sauce. Everyone loved their food. They DO give you a lot, including the rice, fresh veggies and a salad...you could split easily! You DO have to pay for the pita bread which came out freshly baked/grilled!nIt's a cool atmosphere with fairly tightly spaced seating. It was actually quite warm inside even on a cool evening.nHighly recommend if you want great Greek food!!

We had an amazing meal here Everything on the plate was so fresh and prepared with care, from the tzatziki to the calamari. Very generous portions too! The place was hopping at dinner time, reservation is definitely recommended. It can be quite loud but the food was so worth it.
