La Quinta Inn & Suites Oshawa

Location is okay, not immediately desirable given the current state of Oshawa and the locals. Parking is an absolute nightmare and not properly defined or presented in any way that would cater to the public. The hotel itself is a wonderfully built and nice touch to an otherwise shady and sometimes ugly downtown core. I worked briefly on the construction of the hotel so I have some knowledge of it's roots, literally. Service was wonderful as was the clerk, who I've known for some years. Stay was good, well accommodated. Missed out on breakfast but, may stay again if I'm in the area. Truthfully I prefer the Durham Hotel based on location and the extensive renovations as recent. Amazing experience. We arrived at 230 in the morning and the girl knew we were tired so she promptly got us on our way. GREATLY appreciated. The room was small but perfect for the two of us. Very modern, bed was incredibly comfortable. The hot breakfast was delicious. They had scrambled eggs, sausage patties and waffles. Not to mention a great variety or cereals, bagels, yogurts and juices. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Thumbs WAY up for this hotel. I will definitely stay here any other time I visit Oshawa. Great job!

Nice clean rooms, nothing fancy but comfortable. The staff were excellent and they even pay for your parking in the secure parking complex across the street. Thanks for the great evening

The place was in a nice location But not enough parking on site The first night was ok but the 2nd night was so bad I will not stay or tell any one to stay here. There was a fight in the the hallway around 3 am no one answered the front desk when we called down, the walls are thin can hear the room next door. When checking out we informed the front desk of the issues we had and he didn't seem like he really cared.

The rooms were quite well maintained and clean which is always the priority although quite small. The location itself is showing it's age and the common areas have definitely seen better days. For the price the hotel was more the reasonable. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional.
