Walking into LA Fitness, the place is big and has lots of machines so you shouldn't have to worry about having to wait if it gets crowded, maybe with the strength machines given they have 1-2 machines that work each muscle group. Staff wise, I can't say I had the best experience. James with the one assigned to my cousin and I to talk to us about personal training. I asked for 2 things: 1. a female trainer and 2. manual body fat measurement and not with the bodyfat monitor. He dismissed what I said about the manual body fat measurement and insisted on me using the monitor. Moreover, he did not seem to understand nor respect my cousin's and I wishes of not wanting to workout in front of guys. He would come and make unnecessary small talk for a long time which 1. kept me from doing my sets and more importantly 2. was not something I liked at all. What I didn't appreciate at all is when he saw my cousin working out and talked to her, she politely explained to him that she doesn't like to workout in front of anyone so he would leave but instead he continued to ask her "How about your cousin? Is she this way too?" that to me was incredibly disrespectful and annoying to the two of us. When you go to a gym especially when you have a busy schedule you want to get your workout done in the time you allowed for yourself to do and you certainly do NOT want to be bothered. Will ask questions/for help as needed. But I certainly did not appreciate the persistence when we both made it very clear we're not interested in guy trainer nor are we okay with having him around while we workout. Needless to say we are no longer members there.

Great staff and facility. Somethings could be improved thought. The facility is usually pretty clean but the showers are a mess and when things break it sometimes takes a while to fix. I usually go first thing in the morning at 5:00am and it's not overly crowded. I can get my workouts in and get on my way to work. Evenings are very busy and more of a social crowd. The facility has something for everybody.

Nice gym, nice equipment, good classes. Do not sign their training membership. My sister signed on because I referred her. She was told that she could downgrade her program if she wanted. The 2nd time she went in for training, she tried to downgrade, and they said no. The guy who signed her up said upper management made the decision and they could not, would not change the terms. He admitted that the agreement was in place, but denied the downgrade anyways. They are good trainers and I always have a good workout, but this seems really shady, a bad practice. If you sign up, at least be aware that they do not back up their claims.

Meh.... they really just want our money. If you can get $19/month go for it. Wait for a deal. Nice pool. Poor maintenance. Something is always broken.

Very nice staff, everyone there helps eachother out and I love to workout here because it helps me feel good on the inside and outside while taking my mind off of a lot of things that bother me. It is definitely a way to stay for and healthy and it is very important to stay in great shape. 23 never felt any better💯💪🖖
