Story

La saison artistique de L’UniThéâtre est généralement composée de quatre productions professionnelles, y compris une pièce de théâtre jeune public qui fait une tournée dans les écoles de l’Alberta et de la Colombie-Britannique. On présente ainsi, tous les deux ans, une pièce communautaire. La série de lectures publiques À VOIX HAUTE est ainsi un nouvel ajout à la programmation de L’UniThéâtre.

L’UniThéâtre est très heureux de desservir la communauté francophone de l’Alberta et ce, depuis 1992. Son souhait : créer un rapprochement permanent et continu avec les communautés.

L'UniThéâtre is the only professional francophone theatre company in Edmonton and one of few in Alberta and presents four professional productions a year (MOST PRESENTED WITH ENGLISH SURTITLES) including a theatre for young audiences tour that is performed in schools across Alberta and British-Columbia. It also presents, on an alternating basis, a larger scale community production. A newly-added feature to its seasons is the À VOIX HAUTE reading series.

L’UniThéâtre is glad to serve Alberta’s francophone community. The company’s desire is to continue to create a sense of unity between Edmonton and Alberta’s communities through theatre.

Mission

L’UniThéâtre a pour mandat de contribuer au développement de la communauté francophone et à la promotion des expressions langagières et culturelles en français au sein d’Edmonton et à travers l’Ouest canadien par le biais d’activités liées au théâtre, dont le théâtre professionnel et communautaire, le théâtre jeunesse, des évènements spéciaux ainsi que des activités de formation et de perfectionnement.

L’UniThéâtre’s mandate is to contribute to the development of the francophone community and to the promotion of the French language and French-language cultural expressions in Edmonton, Alberta and throughout Canada through activities related to the theatrical art form, including professional theatre, community theatre, theatre for young audiences, special events, as well as training and development activities.
