Story

The Edmonton School of Ballet is the private business of Margaret Flynn, L.I.S.T.D. (Cecchetti Faculty). Mrs. Flynn founded the school in 1967 and is its Artistic Director. The School has been recognized for its excellence in training and guiding students towards a career in dance. Many graduates of the ESB have gone on to careers as professional dancers and teachers.

Mission

To provide each student with professional dance training which enhances their interest, talent and enthusiasm in reaching their fullest potential

Products

Recreational Program - classes in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, flamenco, hip hop.
Professional Program - combined academic/dance program for students in grades 7 to 12. Must audition for acceptance.
Teacher Training Program - 3 year Post-secondary program.

Best experience of my whole life. Esb is here to teach you proper technique, grace and over performance. Best school for people longing to have a career in dance. Teachers are strict but constantly lift you and your confidence and self - esteem up. Absolutely amazing.

This school is the most amazing ballet I have ever been to. They focus on skills and the ability.
Terrible dance school, you will regret going here. The teachers are rude and they don’t care about you. Teachers pick favorites and only help them. Staff can be very unorganized and change your schedule at the last minute.
This is one of the few dance schools in Edmonton which has an intensive ballet program. It is where you would want to go if you wish for a solid foundation in ballet. I have 1 child in the professional half day program Vimy and 1 child in the regular after school program.
Edmonton's best ballet school, with an excellent, highly trained staff, just look at their incredible credentials. This year they had 2 dancers qualify for the Genee international ballet competition in Lisbon, Spain. This is an incredible feat and honour and reflects the high quality of training provided at ESB/VimyDance.
