Went here to have a late night dinner in Calgary for an overnight layover and was definitely impressed. Coming from the GTA, I didn't expect much from this little place, but trusted the Google Reviews high ratings and the consensus; it was correct. The restaurant was well decorated and had a nice ambience that helped provide a sense of authenticity to the restaurant's cultural background. The service was extremely friendly, fast, efficient, and was top-notch for a small restaurant. The food was great and there's not too much criticism I could give it. One thing that the restaurant could improve on is balancing their flavours as some of the dishes were a little too salty. The waitress and owner were big highlights and elevated the dining experience with their friendly demeanor. Overall, not perfect, but getting close! Definite recommend.
4-4.5 overall rating. Great service and atmosphere more modernistic with touches to the Korean culture. Wide range of items you can get. Spacious environment that can seat parties of all types. They bring out refillable sides here. Food is traditional not just street style sides but actual meals as well. Prices vastly range from $14.50-$28 dependent on food type and ingredients. Meals are a good portion size as well and flavourful. All food items came out piping hot. Not too salty and well tuned in flavour. Will definitely come back here when in need of a Korean cuisine craving to try the other items.
Stopped by with a colleague to have dinner. Staff was super friendly and helped in selecting the dishes. Ordered the seafood pan cake, spicy mackerel, and the beef glass noodle soup. Super amazing dishes and flavors!! Definitely need to stop by next time and try other dishes.
This KOR Korean restaurant has left the best impressions with the handsome son owner who takes our orders it's my First time in Korean Restaurant! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. The owner gave us freebies and a extra service to my cute little nephew so that we can eat! Highly recommended.
Grabbed some food to go while staying nearby. The staff were super friendly and even threw on a little treat for our little kiddo! Overall was pretty good, their gochujang pork was very tasty and we'll seasoned and their Korean pancake was spot on. The corn and cheese while tasty enough, the cheese wasn't fully melted and seemed a little under done. Definitely would visit again though if I'm in the area
We thoroughly enjoyed the food there but honestly, Han's hospitality and sincerity is why we will be returning whenever we're in town. Prices are reasonable for everything that you get. Ambience was sweet. Service was great. A gem worth giving patron to whether you're looking for something fun and casual or lovely and fancy.Food: 5/5
A cute little place for some Korean street food and other staple Korean dishes. It seems like a family owned business with such lovely and kind employees. The owner I believe was very generous and kind and so were his sons who were our servers. We got the Korean bbq chicken with pork bone soup and a seafood pancake not pictured. The food was good, nothing super spectacular but it wasn’t the worst either, I definitely would love to go back to try other things on their menu, I think their street food will be a lot better. For dessert we got mochi ice cream, it was nice. I got milk tea flavour and it was a tad bitter so mixed with the chocolate sauce and sprinkles it was a little big odd. I think the mochi ice cream are those ones from Costco in the box? I saw the owner peel a pack open and put it on a plate. Nothing wrong with that but I was a tad surprised that it was just the same ones from Costco. Overall a decent experience, give it a try!
Very unique menu and savoury food. Their food portions are for 2+ people and has to be shared. They are a little bit cheaper compared to other Korean restaurants so it was nice. We liked their drinks enough that we bought a six pack as to go.
Thank you Kor Street Food for a fantastic experience. It was our first time and we have a real Asian foodie daughter that couldn’t get enough of the place. Dumplings are amazing, stone bowl bi bim bap was cooked to perfection, we even had the tuna tofu stew. All of it was so fresh…. Coming soon…. This dessert! What is it? It’s amazing and special and we felt so privileged to be a beta tester! If you have been hesitating to come in here because you had a long time relationship with the previous Italian restaurant - don’t be sad. Give this one a chance, it’s time to put this little asian gem on your list it is one that will be here for a while!
Authentic Korean food? Absolutely not... but was curious to give it a try due to the high reviews. I love my Korean food, pretty much tried every single Korean restaurant in Calgary. Setting the bar high was on my radar. First off, service was excellent, atmosphere feels young and trendy, attracted lots of youngers... Here comes the food.... Tteokbokki my kids favorite, rice cake wasn't cooked all the way. We also ordered another with cheese, thought maybe the first order was a bad batch, but the second order was equally the same. Too much cabbage! Melted cheese tasted like it was microwaved?!? ... ouch! on a rocky start.. Korean chicken was good, nice and crispy, a bit pricey, got a few chicken wings in the batch interesting. The pickled daikon radish, omg, what happened there, tasted like vinegar and salt, no sugar? Expected the Bi-Bim-Bop stone to be good, looks really good, but got soggy rice during the mix, didn't get the nice crust I wanted, I suspect the stone bowl wasn't hot enough.. oh man... lost points for that. Probably the best meal was the pork belly, nicely seasoned and cooked. Cheese corn was amazing! For the price you paid, probably wasn't worth it for a family, but a few meals, quick fix, it might be alright... I've asked the waitress when they opened up, she said Jun 2021.. Perhaps, I'll give it another year and come back to see if there's any improvements. :
