We came across this beautiful inn by accident and didn’t want to leave. We actually planned on staying one night but ended up staying two we loved it so much. It was so quaint and the rooms were absolutely perfectly decorated and well appointed with antiques. The beds were so comfortable. The staff was very helpful especially Kelly at the front desk. The hot tub was awesome! We hope to come back again.
There is no other place to stay in PEI for our family. We LOVE kindred spirits. It has a vibe as if you are staying in the Catskills. The grounds are pristine, the cabins are immaculate and it has a pool and playground to boot. We stayed here last year and loved it, therefore we decided to stay again during peak season. When we arrived we addressed a few issues with the front desk. They were addressed immediately. Along with the speedy customer service, we received a picnic basket with a handwritten note with a $50 gift card and goodies inside. You don’t get that kindness and customer service everyday as you do with the people at kindred spirits. For us, it’s the perfect vacation spot. It’s cozy, the atmosphere is warm and perfect for kids, and they have activities every night on the weekend. Thank you Kindred spirits for another great vacation, see you next year!!
Although this is advertised as an inn, it still felt more like when you go camping, and it operated more like a camping inn. PEI is expanding its tourism outside of Charlottetown but the services offered are not matching to support an increase in tourism and services needed to sustain that tourism.nnBreakfast was not worth it. They need to redo the whole menu. Egg cups are not breakfast, that is more a brunch snack. They needed to offer variety, especially the staples like cooked eggs, toast, hash browns, sausage, and bacon. There were waffles, fruit, cereal. But they need something more hearty for breakfast.nnAll day tea is offered in the main area but no milk is given, even in the rooms. There is also no machine to purchase beverages or snacks, which is difficult because the closest convenience store is about a 25 minute walk.nnThere is also stairs, so be prepared to haul your luggage up or down the stairs. They don’t offer any assistance.nnIf you’re planning to stay here, it’s better to come with your own vehicle. You basically need to drive everywhere and there is only one person who runs a taxi service for the entire area. If they are busy with another customer, you are out of luck and need to wait. It’s also incredibly expensive as a 3 minute ride will cost $15!nnThe room also needs updating. Some amenities were not working well and the AC was incredibly loud. We turned it off at night, it sounded like construction was going on when it was turned on.nnThe front desk staff were courteous and housekeeping was very kind.nnOverall, it was disappointing. The area was not as advertised and it should be emphasized that it’s best to have a personal vehicle to get around. For tourists who did not come with their own car, I would suggest staying in the city and just make Cavendish a day trip and then return to the city. But even then it will be difficult as you need a vehicle to see the various main attractions and to dine out.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in PEI, Kindred Spirits is the place to be! The location of the cottages, along with the great amenities and friendly staff made our trip unforgettable. We will definitely be back!
I loved staying at Kindred Spirits Inn. We were on a tip to tip bike tour, and the inn was our home for one night. It feels like staying at the inn of a relative. It’s homey, comfortable, and relaxing, and the staff welcomed us like family. They have a spacious garage for bike storage. It’s close to all of the Anne of green gables stuff if that’s your thing. The national park and shore is just down the hill. Thank you for your warm hospitality!
