Cavendish Motel

Very disappointed with the quality of this motel for the nightly cost. We stayed 1 night only and couldn’t wait to leave. Room needs a major cleaning, it stunk really bad, there was dirt in the corners and behind furniture. Sheets were clean but old and worn out. There is a slope in the floor which indicates the place is old. The description of the room when I booked said jetted tub, rainfall shower head, Egyptian sheets, all lies. And the breakfast, though it was hot it was not tasty, butter was frozen, but server seemed pleasant. Overall I do not recommend this spot.

Pros: the breakfast was good with a lot of options,and the server was INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY. He made my whole day so much better! There was potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, all sorts of drinks, bagel and bread, etc It is a super convenient location and the price of isnt too bad for the location. Plus a tim Hortons across the street! There was also heating/air conditioning in the room too which worked well Cons: Our room was at the top floor in the middle so it was quite a trek to get to our room. Every time someone walked by, you could hear and even feel it in the room! People were hanging out outside until 1am and the walls are super thin, to the point where i was kept awake by someone else’s snoring in a different room as well! The bed looks and smells clean, but it was such a loud and uncomfortable bed, i couldn’t get comfortable.

GREAT location, close to a lot of fun things to visit. Staff was friendly. Beds are very comfortable. Units have AC. No carpets which is great, however the floors were slippery when we came in until we turned on the AC for awhile. Upon entering, you get a musty smell. The bath tub was like a skating rink, extremely slippery. Breakfast is potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. You can also grab toast, bagels, porridge, cereal and drinks. Microwaves are not in the rooms, but in a separate area, which is not very convenient. Nearby activities: Very close to things like Anne of green gables, Avonlea village, Sandspit, Shining Waters, Ripley believe it or not, etc. Safety: Be careful while entering the shower as the tub was extremely slippery. There is a bit of stairs for the top floor rooms, and the walkway up there does not seem very stable, you can feel wood wobble under you when you walk. Wi-fi: Wifi is very spotty, but good when it works. Food & drinks: Listed in main comment. Server is energetic and enthusiastic.

This motel met our basic needs and they’re true to their word about a hot breakfast. The server was friendly and so efficient, it was a one-man show. Negative things - although the towels were freshly washed, there were tiny hairs here and there, just kind of all over the place. I don’t think this was a case of dirty linens or room but maybe housekeeping needing to wear hair nets while working the rooms. Also, the motel part of the property is a 2-storey building and there’s no elevator. The common outdoor hallway/wraparound deck also seems very old or water-logged. All footsteps and movements from people just moving about can be heard and felt from inside the room. Also they advertise a heated pool; it was not heated. Not a deal-breaker unless you’re really looking forward to it.

Fantastic stay! the place to go in Cavendish. Room and beds were very nice. Honestly, my best place in my 10 day trip. Best bang for your money no other way to say it. Breakfast was the best, but apparently they ran out of everything in a short time. So i would wake-up and go get breakfast. Pool is brand new and very tidy. Water was close to perfect. Ice machine big enough to accomodate everyone. Close to gas station, tim horton's, beaches, park, and restaurants. Chris recommended in Cavendish !

When you check in to find dirty bedding with someone else’s hair all over the bed that’s already not a good sign I was nice about it though, mistakes happen. I brought it up with the person in the office as all they said here are some sheets you can change them yourself . So we did. Bathroom though wasn’t clean either there were hair all over and even though i kept leaving please clean the room sign for 3 nights we stayed there 0 cleaning was done Out friends had a dirty floors/bathroom as well. Location is amazing but lots of other options in the area so stay away from this one if you want a clean room

The staff was super nice and very accomodating, we had a very pleasant slay. We made it to the motel kind of late and the check in office was already closed, but they prepared everything for us to be able to access our room!! The breakfast was suprisingly good for a moteland hot! and the man serving it was super sweet. Our room was pretty, looked new and smelled clean, plus the bathroom products they offer are cute and good quality. Best hotel we stayed in during our trip, would recommend! Alicia and Juliette

This motel has very friendly and accomadating staff. It's a very clean facility. Rooms are sound proof. It is central to all the family fun things in cavendish. It has great prices and it includes breakfast! I definitely would stay here again with my family.Rooms: 5/5
