Yummy street food and super friendly service. They accept tap debit card payment which is great. I enjoyed the seaweed wrapped with glass noodles and really liked that the fish waffle is not overly sweet! The Korean pancake was also nice after seeing it on TV so many times I finally satisfied my curiosity.
Really friendly, extremely quick service! They accept debit for orders over $5. The teriyaki gyoza was really good! Very classic korean street food. The prices are totally affordable too!
This place is an excellent choice if you're looking for a unique eating experience and cheap eats. However the service here has always been very hit or miss, I've come here a few times and sometimes the lady who works at the stand can be very hostile. I'm not sure if it's because whenever I've come this place has had a huge lineup but it's definitely not the right way to be handling your customers. I've had friends who wanted to try the food here but were frightened away by the service. I'd say - if you don't mind putting up with subpar service for well priced eats then check out Kim's A La Cart- if you don't though you're not missing out on too much.
I love Kim's food since the beginning! Their Boong-a Bbang is the most AMAZING & DELICIOUS!!!! Also Hottok is ONE OF KIND too!! Can't wait to go back again!!!Food: 5/5
From all the positive comments, I was really excited to try this place. The price was cheap and the quality was not bad. There were some people waiting in the queue ahead of me. They could get quite busy on weekends. I ordered the fish cake skewer with soup and it tasted great. However, the pan fried rice cake in Teriyaki sauce was too hard and very salty. It was a bit disappointing! I guess other items may taste better. Will give them a try next time!
Went here with a friend who really wanted to try it out and I can say with certainty that am grateful for her wanting to go. A good selection on small food portions. I had the spicy pork belly on skewers, red bean waffles and korean pancakes. Everything was delicious and would love to visit it again in warmer weather!Food: 5/5
Pricing is okay for the portion given. Overcharged me and couldn’t understand what I was saying. Wasn’t too happy with how they handled it. Not coming back here.
Appreciate that they were open late on Victoria Day! Been here a few times and it’s always my favourite snack spot for something reliable late at night. Great prices and incredible service. A wonderful family owned cart. Best red bean waffle I’ve had in Toronto. Not oily or greasy, always stuffed perfectly with red bean filling or custard. Perfect amount of sweetness not too sweet at all. Great texture as well! I usually get the rice cake with the spicy sauce but this time I tried the kimmari and rice cake with teriyaki and it was a great savoury taste! You can’t go wrong here by getting great food and supporting a local staple. Note: they only take cash & debit!
The middle aged lady working here was really rude, my friend ordered but im Korean idk if she knew after seeing me but i can understand Korean and she seemed really annoyed that my friend wanted to pay by card as she was saying some unpleasant things in Korean. While she was getting the payment terminal/machine ready, I was just getting the food from the high small counter we were the only customers at the time and she placed the items there- cup for fish cake, plate and styrofoam box and then got the payment machine and she immediately shouted “THAT’S NOT YOURS” referring to the styrofoam box which was placed in the middle of the cup of fish cake and plate, i mean my friend ordered a couple of items and I thought all the items were placed for us , i didn’t mean to steal or anything, if it wasn’t for my friend, she could’ve told me nicely cause she full on glared and yelled at me. Totally ruined my day and food portion was really small and over priced. My first and last time here.
My bf paid by debit card and the lady at this shop charged additional 50 cents for using the card machine and added $1 tip for herself without asking. All she did was handing over a small paper bag with already made snack inside. My friends and families complained how unfriendly the owner was and now she is not only unfriendly but also cheating her customers. I don't care about $1 but I just don't like the fact that she shamelessly charges it without asking.
