They offer 4 different types of ddokbokki. We’ve tried the regular, rosé sauce, and the soy sauce based dishes. The regular sauce ddokbokki tastes very familiar and homey, especially when you add the fried plate of dumplings, yam and noodles. The rosé was surprisingly good- we added glass noodles and it tasted almost like healthy pasta! The soy sauce base tasted like bulgogi sauce, but it was way too salty for my liking. I’d recommend either the regular or the rosé although we haven’t yet tried the white sauce base. Would definitely come back.
The red sauce was yummy although the white was rather lacking in flavor. I wasn't too big a fan of the rice cakes, as it was a bit harder than I would have liked. I thought it might be that you let the rice cake sit in the sauce longer to soften, but i had leftovers the morning after and it felt too stiff for my preference. For the white sauce I also had taken added in to help absorb the sauce. The server advised me after that the ramen was not a good choice, and the glass noodles is a better option, so fair warning on that, I didn't really enjoy the ramen either. I also had the fried chicken which was quite yummy, and I would define rely recommend!
Friendly staff, spacious and bright space and absolutely delicious food. I am addicted to their cheese topping and the GimariKorean deep fried seaweed spring rolls insanely tasty I would highly recommend this place if you love tokbokki like me, they have many kind of sauce to go with tokbokki too, so if you cannot eat spicy, no worry, they have no spicy sauces
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Comfort Korean food with friendly service in a sleek restaurant. I would recommend getting the regular rice cake over the spicy version as it is just spicy enough and not over powering. The tuna kimbap and deep fried seaweed roll were fresh, tasty and went perfectly with the topokki sauce. I would recommend this restaurant for casual dates, groups and families. I am definitely coming back!
Chicken karaage was soggy. Veggie mandhu was not thoroughly cooked and tasted "old". Beef in Bulgolgi Kimchi cheese bowl tasted like it was reheated. Same with the rose topoki: it tasted like it was reheated. Everything seemed like it had been cooked before and microwaved.
Clean and cozy. Staffs are friendly. I normally dislike rice cake, but I love the rice cake here. I ordered the rose sauce topoki with bacon and it's really yummy. USB ports available for customers to charge their phones. We haven't ordered dessert, but the desserts look good too.
Service -This place just opened so i can see the service was exceptionally good. They were quick, attentive, and kind to all customers. Hope this lasts long cuz i can see alot of places slack on customer services once time passes by. Food -We got the red topoki with spicy level and a green tea bingsu after. I am not a fan of topoki but my gf was but the topoki tasted okay. Not the best or the worst but just good enough. The green tea bingsu was tasty doe. I liked how this place gives the largest amount of ice cream chunk compared to competitors in finch. Oh yeh they got beer too. On tap. Environment -Gon be honest, i can expect alot of ladies visitin this place cuz this mite be the best spot to take selfies. Nice and bright and very modern interior.
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Although the menu is limited.. but the food are delicious and doesn’t taste too salty or spicy. Tried the crispy popcorn chicken... gimmari.. mandu.. and bulgogi kimchi rice. For dessert went for my all time fave Injeolmi shaved ice. wish they have bigger size The interior gives clean, bright, and modern vibe.
The Topoki is pretty tasty, but the "ddeok" itself isn't fitting to my palate.. they present it in a nice way, but I think just the taste isn't on par with the price.
Not my favourite deokbokki in the city but i enjoyed their bulgogi version best. Friendly service and a large menu..everyone seemed to be eating something different so ive gotta go back and try more items. Bonus marks for quirky utensils!!!
