If I could give them a negative review I would. I bought a necklace at the store on December 14, 2017. The first time that I wore it, was on December 15 2017. I had it on less than 3 hours and the chain broke in the middle. I was not tugging on it. I wasn't viciously pulling on it. it was not caught on my clothes. The chain just broke. I went back to the store today December 18th, 2017, only to be told that I was SOL. They would not replace the chain. They would not fix, what I deem as a defect product, without me paying at least 40 bucks or more for them to solder the chain. Seriously the link broke. So I will contacting the corporate headquarters over this, closing my line of credit with them, and shopping elsewhere. My first experience was with getting a ring resized. The first time I had inquired about it, I was told it would be roughly 150.00 dollars. I didn't have the ring with me at that time. When I went back to have it done. I was then informed it would be close to 500.00. I decline to do so. I am glad that I did, as Angelo's in West Des Moines IA was able to do the job at a much lower price. I had purchased the additions to my wedding band at Kay's.

My wife took her new watch in to have links pulled out so it would fit her wrist. It took 10 minutes to do, the lady charged her $32 plus sales tax for this. Since when do you charge sales tax on labor as well as charging what they did removing the links? I was not with my wife at the time and being as timid as she is, she did not say anything. We have had a lot of our jewelry work done there. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! We will contact the correct party to confirm if this is a standard operational procedure.

Jannett had horrible customer survive. She was extremely rude and not very helpful. She told me multiple times she had more important things to do then to help me. I was the only customer in the store. And whe said that the will call me when she was ready for me. Very rude and unhelpful and just not a good team leader at all.

Worst experience of my life and I even gave this store multiple chances dealing with different employees each time. Horrible horrible customer service. Don't waste time buying there warranty cause they won't do what's promised. Buying a wedding ring should be a great experience but it was the worst experience I have ever had buying anything and I don't know why I didn't just walk out. I got lied to on multiple occasions at this store about prices and what the warranty would cover. I will never go to kay jewelers again because of this store right here. Don't waste your time!!

Terrible service! Waited 10 minutes to get assistance while one of the employees was having a casual conversation. Had to get wife's ring cleaned and she just took a tooth brush on top of it and didn't clean the bottom where the dirt can accumulate. Her excuse was "I'll try again but sometimes you have to send it in for deep cleaning." Gave it back to her to clean properly. Ring came back completely clean with no residue. Do your job right the first time.
